I stayed overnight in the Hideaway during Labor day weekend. It was just my personal quick get away before going back to work. The main house and off site house I stayed at were very nice. The food was delicious and I wouldn't have any issue with going back for another stay. The woman that checked me in was very... More

Guest feedback is so important in keeping our property safe, in good shape and with the amenities people desire. At checkout we regularly ask people does anything need our attention. Thank you so much for your feedback. It is very actionable and we will get on it. Pete More

This was a great place to visit. We stayed in The Sycamore room which was small but quaint and cozy. The location was very clean and had a good bed and breakfast feel. The breakfast was excellent with a wide array of choices. The coffee was a bit weak but everything else was delicious. The location had free wifi located... More

I was part of a wedding party and reserved a room. When I arrived I found out my room was on the other side of town. I asked if there was anything on site and there was not. Simply asked for my money back so I could find a closer room. They refused any refund at all. I still had... More

Our web site clearly states that the property is 1/2 mile away from the Inn and we mention that when reservations are made by phone. Our cancellation policy is industry standard one week and we held this room for you and had housekeeping check it before your arrival and turn the A/C on for your comfort. I'm sorry you found... This is at least our fifth trip to the Inn, and it is always fabulous. The rooms are comfortable, and you can't beat the dinners, prepared by Chris Brown who has won the Western North Carolina Chef's Challenge. Breakfasts are served buffet style, so you can eat as much or as little as you want. If you go, be sure... More

Hot Springs is a great place to get away and the Mountain Magnolia is a wonderful option for staying and/or dining. My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in July 2014. We had booked the Hideaway but the owner upgraded us to the Bird's Nest at the same rate. We ended up staying 2 extra nights because we... More

Mountain Magnolia ....a place to seek out for those who enjoy the fantastic lush hills of North Carolina, a country chalet setting with impeccably maintained grounds. The Inn offers exquisite southern food made with home grown vegetables. Don't miss the desserts; in fact make sure you try them all. Super friendly and helpful staff. A great place for extended outings... More

I welcomed the opportunity to stay at the Mountain Magnolia Inn, and found the accommodations generally acceptable. It is a beautiful building with historical twists, and nicely appointed grounds. I would, however, expect a bit more for the pricing. I have enjoyed larger rooms, better service, and more ample breakfasts at B&B's from California to the Outer Banks. $150 per... More

I'm sorry that your stay with us didn't fully meet your expectations and thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We make every effort to accurately portray each of our accommodations. About the room your stayed in we said, "The Sycamore Room is a small cozy room" which I think fairly describes it. I appreciate... More

Great rest, fine view, unsurpassed food and hospitality, in a grand old house I read about in a novel, and discovered was even more beautiful in real life. I will go back as often as I can imagine an excuse to do it.

Spent Memorial Day weekend at the Upper Chalet. Very spacious for two people. Cooking in the kitchen was great. We even grilled on Saturday. Short drive into town. is convenient to several trails along the Appalachian trail. Loved the breakfast at the main hotel. Will come back again.

Mountain Magnolia sort of found us. While looking for a place to get away from the city hustle of Hampton Roads and to celebrate my daughter's eighteenth birthday, this Inn kept showing up. We wanted something quiet and friendly in a beautiful setting and with lots to do (or nothing, if we so chose). The main inn is beautiful with... More
