great clean little Inn centrally located in Downtown easy walking distance to all the City has to offer. Small room with standard amenities very charming little place priced very competitive for the area.

My husband I stayed for one night in this lovely town a couple weeks ago. We had a lovely room with a comfy bed and balcony/porch overlooking the back where there are pretty trees and a courtyard. It was rainy for the 2 days we were there, but it was nice to snuggle in to this nice, quiet, romantic retreat,... More

I attended a weeding in October. The bridesmaids stayed together in one of the rooms. It was very clean and had everything we needed to get ready. The staff was so nice and helpful with everything we needed. The Inn it's self was beautiful. If your looking for somewhere Historic this is the place. The wedding was beautiful!

My granddaughter's wedding was held in the Inn's ballroom and the reception in the restaurant. It was beautiful! Chandeliers and hardwood floors! The staff was very friendly, helpful & professional. It was a wonderful experience and a fairy-tale beginning for my granddaughter and her new husband.

We had our sons wedding here on Saturday Oct. 3,2015. we couldn't have asked for a better place to have the wedding. our initial plan was to have the wedding outside but with all the heavy rain and storms we had to move it inside. We were so thankful to have been able to get the rooms at Highlands Inn.... More

We enjoyed our weekend here. Our room was great. It was clean and the staff was top notch. We enjoyed the little rock garden in the back of the hotel that you wouldnt even know was there. We don't live that far so we will be back in the fall when the leaves change. We had breakfast in the restaurant... More

Room 46 is just plain gross. Smell of mold, stain on bathroom ceiling, dirty hand prints on doors, and the cheap doors and moulding are chipped, cracked and in need of paint. The furniture is stained and the sheets are of the lowest quality as are the smelly foam pillows. This was a disappointment

I stayed at the highlands Inn for one night in late August. I had booked my room the night before over the phone. Because I was already in town (had just chosen to extend my stay), I asked the rep when I should plan on checking in. She informed me that check in was 3pm (or 4pm I don't remember),... More

This was our third time at this historic hotel. The room we were in at the back of the hotel had been recently refurbished, painted, tiled etc. We had a king bed that was comfortable and a little balcony that we didn't use, preferring to sit on the front porch or in the rocking chairs downstairs at the front. We... More

We spend the night at the Highlands Inn. There is not a more convenient place to stay in Highlands, NC. You have a central location on the Main Street. Makes walking to shops, restaurants, boutiques very simple. The Inn is approximately 130 years old. We stayed in room 36 which had a nice high Queen size bed. The hotel does show... More
