My husband and I stayed here for our Anniversary. The room was spacious and we both thoroughly enjoyed having a fireplace in the room. The location was perfect, close enough to walk to Main Street to enjoy the shopping and restaurants. Breakfast was adequate, good selection of items, not the best quality, but we could eat enough to not have... More

This lodge was so quaint & cozy. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. We had our dog with us on a 10 day unplanned no destination road trip and found this pet friendly lodge on line, this was the best stay of our trip. We plan on making this our home base in Oct. so centrally located to everything... More

This hotel is in a very convenient spot right off Main Street making it walkable to a lot of the cute shops and restaurants. The rooms with two beds definitely need some updating (stained carpets, old furnitures, ext) and though say non smoking are very smoking and non smoking rooms are next to smoking rooms. Being in the room I... More

We have stayed at this hotel several times and has always delivered for the price. This hotel is in a unique area "highest town" in the Southern Appalachian Mountains. They offer a wine & cheese social for 3 hours every afternoon. They also offer a basic breakfast - enough to get you started for your day of exploring the area.

This was a good enough hotel for our 1 night in Highlands for a wedding. Friendly staff, free Wi-Fi, some breakfast and a basic older room. Ours was clean, upstairs and quiet. They have pet friendly rooms available as well.

Although a little dated, really enjoyed our stay. Had a balcony room with a wood fireplace. Jacuzzi also a nice touch. Within walking distance of all Highlands shopping/dining. Easy parking. Mom and Pop ish but fun.

This place had a good location, but that was it! We rented 2 rooms for our family. Of course we knew it was not a 5 star hotel, but for $130, not expensive, but too much for this motel. It was dirty, reeked of smoke even though it was a non-smoking room, stains on the carpet and bedspread, etc. If... More

You really want this property to be nicer than it is. It has a good location and a lot of potential but it needs some serious updating and upgrading of its rooms. The rooms are clean but the carpet and the furniture are old. For a few more dollars per night there are better options in and around Highlands. There... More

We booked last minute and were initially slotted for a Deluxe room on the bottom floor; however since we are repeat customers, we were able to get a room on the upper level overlooking Main Street. The rooms are what they are.. perhaps a bit of updating, but in the end, not a deal killer for my wife and I.... More

My husband and I have spent several weekend getaways in this hotel. We got engaged here in 2007 and have come back about once a year. Most recent trip was Valentine's weekend, Feb 2013. Mountain High Lodge is perfect for a romantic couples retreat. The room we stay in is very spacious with a california king sized bed that is... More
