We come to Highlands one every year or two and always stay at the Mountain High Lodge. While this is not a luxury hotel, we have never once been disappointed in our stay. The people working at this hotel/motel are very nice, but they cannot seem to clean a room to save their life. We had dirty tissues on the floor when we arrived in the room, along with some dog food (not our own) lying on the bed. The shower wall had black mold all over, and mildew just about everywhere else.... more

Maid service was poor, only way we could get it was to daily hang the "room needs service sign", no one told us that we needed to do this, we found out hard way. This hotel is NOT in good condition for any price, vinyl floor tiles peeling up, wallpaper in all the rooms dirty stained and patched...a lot.. Speaking... more

we stayed at the Mountain Lodge Inn, on Main St.(same owners as across the street to Highlands Suites) "the best deal in town" the lodge where we stayed is more "rustic" then the Suites across the street.
