My wife and 5 year old stayed at Mitchell's lodge in August 2014. We rented a 1 BR suite in the newer building. The room had that mountain lodge feeling with a fireplace right in the middle. We had two beds and both were comfortable. There was a living area with a TV and a little porch that looked over... More

We were very pleased with our corner room with very large outside deck overlooking small stream. Room nice size with lots of windows and very clean. Free wifi a little intermittent but still it's free! Place is not far from main downtown area but close enough.

This was a really neat place to stay. I stayed in the original lodge (don't let the name fool you, it looks like a cabin motel from the outside). I was very pleased with the inside. Basically 2 motel rooms have been joined together to make a very nice room(s). It had a private bedroom with 2 double beds, tv,... More

We arrived late in the day without a place to stay and in checking several places we found a deluxe room here. Cindy the office manager was most helpful and very pleasant! Our room was spacious and clean. Very quiet. They serve a continental breakfast in the morning which was nice. Bagels, muffins, toast, cereal, oatmeal, pastries with juice and... More

My 3 sisters and I enjoyed the spacious room, fridge, kitchenette, 2 queen beds and continental breakfast in the mornings. The pond for fishing, creek running behind us and all the flowers around the pavilion for gathering in am or pm were wonderful. A perfect setting for our sisters weekend. The bedding linens need to be improved and the ac... More

We stayed in the Oak Cottage. The rooms were clean and comfortable but as a previous poster said, quaint. There was a kitchen, living room, dining area, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom had a queen size bed with a private bathroom with a jacuzzi (no shower); the second bedroom had a king size bed. The second bathroom was... More

If you are looking for a Hampton Inn with up to date clean lines go elsewhere. If you are looking to experience a step back in time and live more simply you won't be disappointed. The rooms in the two story room building are more up to date. Those large rooms back up to the creek where you can enjoy... More

I have been coming to Mitchell's for 20+ years (first bringing my now-grown children) and love the place. I like the rooms in the old building just fine, the newer building (the "lodge") rooms are nice too (more spacious) with wonderful porches. Can't say I ever got a cabin. Rooms have everything you need, the staff is always superb &... More

Very pleasant reservation made on phone. We requested king with fireplace and balcony which is nicest room in main lodge. This lodge is clean, with large rooms but small bathroom, and kitchenette has a jacuzzi tub in the corner....really? Street noise was significant if windows are open after five am. Shampoo and makeup remover provided but no conditioner!!! Old style... More

We stayed in Cabin #1. It is not in a private area, but clustered with 2 other cabins. We were able to park right outside our door which was great. The porch had a lovely swing & 2 rockers. Inside was a nice living room space with a gas fireplace. The kitchen has been completely renovated so everything was new,... More
