My 3 sisters and I enjoyed the spacious room, fridge, kitchenette, 2 queen beds and continental breakfast in the mornings. The pond for fishing, creek running behind us and all the flowers around the pavilion for gathering in am or pm were wonderful. A perfect setting for our sisters weekend. The bedding linens need to be improved and the ac... More

We stayed in the Oak Cottage. The rooms were clean and comfortable but as a previous poster said, quaint. There was a kitchen, living room, dining area, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom had a queen size bed with a private bathroom with a jacuzzi (no shower); the second bedroom had a king size bed. The second bathroom was... More

If you are looking for a Hampton Inn with up to date clean lines go elsewhere. If you are looking to experience a step back in time and live more simply you won't be disappointed. The rooms in the two story room building are more up to date. Those large rooms back up to the creek where you can enjoy... More

I have been coming to Mitchell's for 20+ years (first bringing my now-grown children) and love the place. I like the rooms in the old building just fine, the newer building (the "lodge") rooms are nice too (more spacious) with wonderful porches. Can't say I ever got a cabin. Rooms have everything you need, the staff is always superb &... More

Very pleasant reservation made on phone. We requested king with fireplace and balcony which is nicest room in main lodge. This lodge is clean, with large rooms but small bathroom, and kitchenette has a jacuzzi tub in the corner....really? Street noise was significant if windows are open after five am. Shampoo and makeup remover provided but no conditioner!!! Old style... More

We stayed in Cabin #1. It is not in a private area, but clustered with 2 other cabins. We were able to park right outside our door which was great. The porch had a lovely swing & 2 rockers. Inside was a nice living room space with a gas fireplace. The kitchen has been completely renovated so everything was new,... More

Our second stay here. We enjoy the rooms in the newer lodge very much and Mitchell's is probably the best value in Highlands. The large porches outside the rooms are great. The property is lovely but be aware it's about a 10 minute stroll to downtown. Giving it 4 vs. 5 for two reasons. The older section (lower rates) is... More

On arrival we were greeted by Natalie with enthusiasm. We stayed in one of their best suites for 3 nights. The room was nicely remodeled but the electronic are still early 90's. The appointments are a bit distressed. Beware of the speed bumps they are lethal. I though the bottom of my car was going to be torn off. The... More

Rates were just as reasonable as a chain hotel, yet we felt like we rented our own personal cabin. We had our own private entrance/stairwell to our room and the deck was private as well with a full partition. The room was nicely decorated and included a bar with a fridge, microwave, sink, dish soap + dish cloth. Toiletries were... More

We had such a nice time in Highlands. Mitchel's was such a nice surprise. The staff was very friendly and helpful, The rooms were quite large and very clean. The bed was comfy and it was nice to have our own balcony. The decor is not fancy but it is perfect for a lodge. The breakfast offerings could be improved... More
