We have just returned from our second visit to Springfield B&B. The home has been in the same family since the 1890's and the pride and love is evident everwhere. My family has stayed in all of the rooms which are beautifully decorated with antiques and comfortable chairs. The mattresses are exceptional. The private bathrooms are clean and modern with sinks built into antique furniture. Large supplies of towels are tucked in the drawers. The rooms have individual refrigerators stocked and replenished with water and sodas.
Now the food! They serve a fabulous breakfast. Their hens supply the fresh eggs. The biscuits and muffins are freshly made and piping hot. Every meal is accompanied with some delicious fruit combination. Mary is a talented and trained chef.
There is a homemade dessert served late afternoon but available anytime - strawberry cake, buttermilk pie, yum! Mary and Joe have not overlooked any detail to make this a luxurious place to stay. We are... more
