My wife and I have returned to the Springfield B&B at least five times. Our latest stay was consistent with all the others. The rooms are well appointed and immaculately clean, and the house is a pleasure to linger in with a lovely parlor and a wide front porch. The generous breakfast is among the best we've ever had in... More

Joe and Mary are very gracious hosts. The house is on their working farm, and you can expect to find Joe attending to the needs of the farm. I was very appreciative of their willingness to accommodate our special needs, as we used their B&B as our staging point for a week-long cycling tour of northeast North Carolina. The room... More

Mary and Joe are warm and friendly hosts of this pristine farmhouse. The breakfast was excellent, and Joe and Mary were so willing to share the stories of their beautiful working family farm with their guests. This is a B&B treasure in a quaint small town.

Bob and Mary White oversee a beautiful Bed and Breakfast. We stayed three nights as we researched our Quaker ancestry. Bob and Mary suggested several locations in addition to those we had already identified. Springfield B&B rooms are absolutely spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated. Breakfasts are delicious. We highly recommend a stay!

My wife and I recently stayed here. Mary and Joe were absolutely perfect hosts. The home and decor is magnificent and the pictures in the corridors tell the history of the abode and it's renovation .the hosts have many talents and Joe's breakfast is beyond description The grounds and farm are meticulously cared for. We especially enjoyed their friendly chickens... More

I can't help but rave about the accommodations and our host and hostess, Joe and Mary White. From the beautiful rooms to the excellent food everything was superb! As I was traveling to do a bit of genealogy, Joe and Mary were helpful in locating resources and those in the area that might be helpful! Definitely plan a return stay!

Some people are just born hosts, and Mary & Joe White certainly are born to it. They have opened their historic family home to guests, and do it with elegance & cheer (also called Southern Hospitality). They have an interesting collection of farm animals, including some wild peacocks that greet each morning from the peak of the barn roof. Breakfasts... More

Wonderful place to get away for the weekend. The Inn is beautifully decorated. The surrounding farm is charming and fun and the breakfast was fabulous. It was such a treat to have such attentive and friendly service.

Doesn't get much better than this....every detail of the furnishings, food, ambiance, was addressed in an elegant, comfortable manner. From the fresh blueberry and peach breakfast parfait at breakfast served in delicate glass, to the antique linens in the guestroom, to the stacks of "Our State" magazines, it's like Mary and Joe said, "Now, what else can we think of...
