We look forward to our monthly vacation stays at this great Inn. The owners are friendly and energetic. The master chefs have provided a great variety of delicious meals. The tours provided with our stays are filled with interesting history and facts.

Traveling from the North, my husband and I stayed in May of 2014. Colonial enthusiasts, we were impressed to see so many historical collectibles and artifacts. Owners and history buffs, Chef Marti and wife, Stormy, took us on a personal tour through each room of the museum and shared their knowledge and personal stories of former Presidents, Colonial artifacts and... Arrived late but Marti waited for us and gave us brief house tour. Cooked breakfast was seved at 9 AM next morning. Marti was personable. I would not stay here again nor recommend it. Price completely out of line with what you get. Facility is realistically 2 star. The price for that area is 5 star. House is very cluttered...lots... More

Thank you so much for staying with us :) We only advertise our B&B as a 2-star inn and inspected by AAA as a two-diamond rating. No one has ever advertised nor claimed we are five star and you only paid 79 per night for your room, which was about 50 dollars less than the market around us. We have... More

My husband I stated in the Oceanus Room 2012. The inn is getting run down, the picture of owners is 20 yrs old and he is living off his past experience as chef at ths Whitehouse. There was not much personability from either owners. The so called myseum was not. The breakfast was so very disappointing. We were very disappointed... More

this was more trouble than it was worth right from the start. instead of fixing the issues, I was given sympathy-seeking reasons to just let it go, and a rude, insulting email from the chef marti that read like he was on his fifth bottle of wine - it made no sense. I truly wonder if I was a political... More

Thank you for supporting our disabled US military veterans project. We were sorry about your outburst during the museum tour against the President's of the United States and received several complaints from guests about it. I felt regretful to have to be forced to send you an email requesting you refrain from such behavior the next day in the living... More

We received a gift from our children for a 2 night stay and cooking class at the Inn of the Patriots in Grover, NC. It is an eclectic B&B, with nicely decorated rooms and delicious breakfasts and really fun cooking class if you opt for this extra. Owners Chef Marti and Chef Stormy made us feel right at home with... More

We stayed in the Polynesian room and Marti made us very welcome and took us on a tour of his house and his large collection of Revolutionary war memorabilia, as well as his souvenirs from his time as a White House Chef. The owners are both former Camp David/White House chefs and have turned this B&B in a town (next to Shelby, NC, and not far from Charlotte) that no one has heard of into what they call the Presidential Culinary Museum (and inn). Each room has wall-to-wall (and ceiling to floor) memorabilia from various presidents -- plates, menus, photos etc. Chef... More
