We stayed here for 2 nights it was a fabulous time. Chef Marti was more than welcoming! We attended the cooking class and had a blast! Breakfast was delicious, the grits were amazing! In all a great experience!

I was really impressed with this b&b. It was a great place, and the tour given was really educational. I have stayed at numerous other b&b and this ranks near the top. The location we were given to eat a nice supper was realy niceand reasonable. I would return in a heatbeat.

Located between Asheville and Charlotte, this Inn provides a great get-away. Combine comfort, cleanliness, gourmet breakfast and hands-on history and you get the picture of this delightful Inn run by a former White House chef. Who, by the way, offers group cooking classes to add some fun to your stay. We stayed in an upstairs room with shared bath but... More

My husband and I stayed at the Inn for a mid week getaway. What a pleasant experience!! Due to our own scheduling conflicts, we arrived later than anticipated; but not to worry. Chef Marti had already checked us in and our room, the Baby Ruth Room, was in pristine condition when we arrived. The Inn is filled with many pieces... More

Excellent stay... if you want history, quaint village atmosphere, lots of places close in to explore and learn, great food, wonderful hosts and great staff, lots of room to ramble, comfortable rooms and a wonderful relaxed atmosphere - this is the place! The extra bonus of the cooking class was great and should not be missed. On our list of... More

The Inn of the Patriots is creating something very unique, every day. And I wonder how long it will be before more inns start doing the same and why a few patrons confuse it with the more typical, standard B&B’s it clearly is not. In planning my intensive 5 month market research trip to the most ground breaking culinary specialists... More

Had a wonderful time at the Inn. The tour was very informative. The host Marti was great and made us feel very welcome. After the tour we hand picked ingredients from the garden to start our cooking class. The food was superb and the room had great warm and character. The whole experience was very good and I highly recommend... More

We were there Oct.16 and stayed in the Grover Cleveland room. Wish we had gotten there sooner so we could have really looked at all the interesting items that were displayed every where. Some people I noticed in their reviews really disliked that...well for me it was like being Alice in Wonderland except I slid down a little girls doll... More

Marti, the owner, is quite fond of himself and excellent at promoting hype and expectations for his inn, but the reality falls quite short. We were greeted by a decrepit gingerbread house that has clearly seen better days at the front door. The rest of the house was incredibly cluttered and claustrophobic. The room itself was just weird. Our shower... More

We were sorry to have not met your expectations and are happy to offer you another stay on the house, complimentary for you friends! We do publicly advertise that a B&B such as ours has small bathrooms built into each room of our 1879 mansion and that we are not trying to replicate the Hyatt or Hilton (where the pricing... More

This inn has excellent self promotion but the reality falls way short of the mark. Prices are totally out of line for a room with a tiny shared bath the size of a closet. The interior has so much paraphernalia that you feel claustrophobic. The clutter continues in the bedrooms, where every surface has stuff. No way can the inn... More

Dear SueKarJul, We have been sorry to see you act in this manner as you clearly read on our brochures and website that our upper two rooms were a shared bathroom. The usage of an exclamation point serves no purpose as we have intense requests from our European guests exactly for that - "shared bathroom like all of the Bed... More
