The city hotel and bistro is an enjoyable place to stay and enjoy yourself. The only problem was the pillows are a little to flat, so bring your own. Highly recommended! more

I stayed at this hotel for a conference at the convention center and chose it based on good reviews on TA. Although it was an "ok" hotel, I would definitely not recommend it over the adjoining Hilton unless price is an issue (I paid $90 versus about $140 at the Hilton). The room was large, although the bathroom was VERY... more

Stayed here for two nights while attending a college bowl tournament at ECU. Room quality was excellent and front-desk staff were very helpful when we had trouble with a school-issued credit card. It was nice to have a hot breakfast (nothing luxurious, but better than cereal and a bagel), although this hotel, like others, has a big TV in the... more

I stayed here in May 2007. I was in Greenville for a week and got bumped from the Baymont Inn because a family reunion was taking over that hotel. The rooms were awesome... I had a king room. Very large rooms, really big desk, awesome desk chair... beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was huge. TV had a ton of channels.... more

I was there for a conference. The rooms are nice and clean. Location is easily accessible. But the food service left a lot to be desired. Dishes weren't clean, silverware was greasy and the food was cold. I wouldn't eat at the hotel again unless I had to. They did have a great band on Friday night. more

My wife and Istayed here from July1 to July6 2007 and did want to leave. Jenna was a sweetheart at the frontdesk and Sondra had my bottle of ketchup ready for me each and every morning. Housekeeping was great and the Pool was kept up well. All my expectations were surpassed which is amazing as I seem to be a... more

We've stayed at the City Hotel about five times now, and have not been dispointed yet. THe staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful. While the breakfast may not be a gourmet meal, it is fine and there is enough of a variety to please this family of five. I have recommended this hotel to many people I know... more

Amatuers at best! I booked a non-smoking room 2 months prior thru Expedia, none were available but did not notify me or Expedia. Confirmed non-smoking. Upon arrival we got a smoking room! Breakfast ok if you like eating while standing, no clean tables, the menu was poorly stocked, one person bussing but was hopelessly behind (we cleaned our own table). Claim... more

We checked in about 10:30 p.m. and a band was playing in the Bistro. It sounded so great that I wished I hadn't been so tired. The hotel is laid out perfectly in relation to the Bistro as well. I doubt there is a room in earshot of the Bistro. The first thing we noticed in our room was the... more
