The cabin was very cute. However, due to the smells I will not return. Bedroom smelled like smoke, pillows like dirty, greasy hair, dishes and silverware were sticky, smell of sewage was awful. The septic tank must have needed to be emptied. Mice kept me awake. Futon was not only uncomfortable, it was hazardous. The cushion to sit on hung... More

My husband, our two dogs and I stayed in the Pines Cabin Friday October 25-Sunday October 27th. I highly recommend these cabins to folks who want to go enjoy the mountains during the fall, but isn't fond of crowds and a lot of traffic, and who have pets they like to take with them on vacations. For $135 a night,... More

'Whitetop' cabin looks and feels new....is very quaint and easy to relax in. It also had its own personal firepit/grill/picnic table and enough open space adjacent to the cabin for our two young boys to run around and play. The Jacuzzi tub is....well, you'll just have to experience it for yourself! The fireplace kept the kitchen, living room and loft... More

I guide cycling tours and I recently hosted a group who rode the entire length of the Blue Ridge Parkway. We spent one night in the Mountain View Lodge. The guests enjoyed the relaxing common areas and the grounds. We made a home-cooked meal in the large kitchen. The dining room is spacious enough to be very comfortable for a... More

Great location, easy access off of the parkway, nice quiet location! Showers and toilet a bit small for a larger guy! But, bed was very comfortable, jacuzzi tub added a nice feature. Would stay again, but in larger cabin....

If you are planing a trip to the Blue Ridge parkway with a large group, the Mountain View Lodge is a wonderful place to consider. You have a large lawn for an event and plenty of space inside for meals and gatherings. It has a comfy "home" setting, and you can even bring "Spot" with you. My daughter wed at... More

We stayed here in the Pine Cabin while attending Merlefest (Late April in Wilkesboro NC) and thought it perfect for us. The cabin was cute, clean and stocked well enough with pots, pans and utencils for us to cook breakfast, make tea and have a midnight snack when we got back to the accomodation. It was warm, relatively spacious (compared... More

Disaster. We checked into the Virginia cabin at 9 pm to find the fireplace and water heater not working. In Fall, the cabin was simply not habitable without water water and heat from the fireplace. And we had no idea where to go for help. We had cellphone numbers for the owner, but there was no cell service up there... More

We wanted to take a trip to North Carolina to see the fall color and of course the mountains this October. Wow, we packed food to cook. We packed our clothes, DVD's, well it seemed like even the kitchen sink and let me tell you, this place had everything. We could have taken a couple of changes of clothes and... More

I wish I owned a cabin like the one I stayed at. There's plenty of room, with an upstairs bedroom plus the master bedroom on the ground floor. Immediately off the Blue Ridge - look for the pig on the mailbox - but feels as if you're miles from anywhere. The best way to enjoy this cabin is to bring... More
