We just got back from a 2 night stay (our 3rd trip) to the Inn, after dropping off our youngest at college. Once again, we had a warm, wonderful time! Jane and her dog Skyla are like family! Breakfast is always a surprise treat (this time, French toast stuffed with blueberries and cream cheese and the 2nd morning, grit cakes... More

My husband and I are just back from 3 nights at the inn after dropping our son off at college. Jane was a warm and welcoming innkeeper sharing lots of good travel info and stories and big yummy breakfasts. The spa suite was lovely for us. Location was great for hikes at Linville Falls and South Mountain --- visit to... More

We were attending a 50th anniversary party in a town nearby and instead of a boring motel, we decided to stay at the Inn with Jane. The Magnolia suite was a delight, furnished with all necessary amenities and best of all, a fabulous king size bed. The sitting room with a chaise lounge and wing chair was perfect for reading... Once again, Innkeeper Jane amazes us with her hospitality and graciousness. Our stay last weekend could not have been better. We made new friends, enjoyed exquisite breakfasts, and relaxed on the spacious porch. The Inn must be the best kept secret in the Blueridge.

This is a wonderful B&B run by an incredibly friendly innkeeper. The breakfasts are absolutely amazing. My husband and I chose to stay here so we could have easy access to hiking at Linville Gorge. We had 3 days of delicious breakfasts, breathtaking drives, incredible hikes (Linville Gorge, Linville Falls, & Grandfather Mountain), and quiet evenings on the big front... More

Just returned from a wonderful weekend visit to Glen Alpine. The Inn couldn't have been more beautiful! Newly decorated for the holidays, the Christmas decorations were festive but modest keeping with the Victorian theme of the house. Jane was a wonderful host! She made us feel as if we were her own and living in her home rather than visitors.... More

My husband and I spent 3 nights with Jane, who almost instantly became a new friend. She is more than accommodating and eager to share new recipes or prepare your personal favorites. Our room was perfect and we had an opportunity to see the other rooms as well - all beautiful and welcoming. The 1500 s.f. verandah is the perfect... More

We have just returned from our 3rd stay at the Inn at Glen Alpine in a year. Each time we have been trated like royalty. Jane is more than an innkeeper - she is more like a favorite relative we don't get to see often enough. She prepares a special breakfast just for me because of food allergies. That is... More

I have to say the home is beautiful, private bathrooms in each room, nice porch but I feel like you need to be a type to actually enjoy being there and not "bother" Jane i think was her name. Don't come in to late or shes gone to bed and she doesn't leave her front door unlocked no keypad/code and... More

We were attending a wedding in near by Morganton. Our preference is always a bed and breakfast and we found this one on line and read the reviews. We made the perfect choice for our weekend. The home is beautiful, the porch inviting, the breakfast delicious, the wine and cheese in the evenings delightful. And all even better because our... More
