Our good friends were married here today! When we drove up it was breathtaking. What a beautifully renovated Inn. We didn't stay the night but the Inn was perfect. The location was perfect. The rooms were beautiful! If we return to the area, we will def stay here!

Glen Alpine is a small town just north of I40 in North Carolina. We visited here to see the wonderful colours of the autumn in the Mount Mitchell area of the southern Appalacians. The Inn at Glen Alpine is a beautiful house built c1915 lovingly restored and maintained. The rooms are a generous and soooooh comfortable. The owner June was... More

After a fireside concert in the Western Mountains, Ms. Jane offered a warm and cozy retreat to chat with some of the most interesting and nicest people you will ever meet. A world traveler herself, Ms. Jane's Home is cozy, clean, extremely comfortable, safe and situated just a stone's throw from Lake James and the surrounding country side. If your... More

The Inn is beautiful and very inviting. Ms. Jane is a great hostess. She is very knowledgable of the area around the Inn and fixes a wonderful breakfast. We loved our stay. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We will be back.

I read some of the previous reviews and agree with them 100%! Mrs. Jane is the ultimate hostess and the accommodations were surprisingly plush. We didn't have reservations here but about 3 hours ahead, because we were just driving until we got tired. Even so, Mrs. Jane was so friendly and went out of her way to make our stay... More

We stayed one night here, the rooms were perfect, the innkeeper was amazing. She had a delicious breakfast ready for us before 8am to accommodate our schedule. We will definitely be back and will recommend this bed and breakfast to friends and family!

Jane's home is your home. This bed and breakfast is very comfortable and located in a small, quiet town. Morganton is less than 10 minutes from the inn and offers several dining options. We enjoyed Judge's and Root & Vine! We also went hiking about 30 minutes away at Catawba Falls, which was absolutely beautiful. This was just what we... More

Ms. Jane, our host, greeted with warm hospitality. Loved the cozy Magnolia Suite with pillow-top mattress! Very relaxing and Ms. Jane make sure every need/desire was met. The “farm to table” Wisteria and Root & Vine restaurants located in Morganton, which is 6 miles from Inn, are a must when visiting. The food at both restaurants was delicious! We highly... More

This is such a wonderful B&B to visit, Jane was great and super accommodating despite our last minute, day-of reservation and late arrival. Gorgeous house (not overly stuffy like some B&B's tend to be), the room (Magnolia Suite) was wonderful and spacious, the bed was extremely comfortable - absolutely loved it. Had a great stay and would highly recommend.
