We went up to the mountains of NC for a short weekend of shopping in Hickory for furniture. This B&B was not very far from there. Owner was extremely nice and a great cook. She was very helpful in advising us what kinds of restaurants and activities that were close to the Inn. Rooms were clean and spacious. Would recommend... More

Up to visit nearby family after a long drive, and it is so nice to be in such an accommodating inn. Jane has thought of everything and makes you feel right at home. Rooms are large, tastefully appointed and very clean. Breakfast is lovely.

Lots of B & B's have good food, and/or nice rooms, and/or a charming atmosphere, and/or a fun, funny, congenial hostess, but The Inn at Glen Alpine had it all. The owner, Jane, has a passion about the inn and the guests - it was evident from our greeting to our good-bye. She is someone you would like to have... More

Our stay was most comfortable in the Country Garden Room. A bright, clean, comfortable room with lovely furnishings, but not "overly furnished" like some B&B's. Jane is very accommodating and friendly. She made a nice cheese, cracker, and fruit plate for our porch sitting/visiting upon our arrival. She also shared great stories about the Inn and her own journey to... More

We traveling from the Great Smokey Mountains NP north my wife and I stopped near Asheville NC and stayed at the Inn at Alpine Glen. From the large relaxing porch to the warm greetings from the Innkeeper Jane, our stay could not have been better. Within an hour of the Biltmore Estate, it overlooks the mountains of the Blue Ridge.... More

Jane will welcome you and make you think you are staying at home. Great location for day trips to Lake James, Asheville, Black Mountain, Blowing Rock, and all the hiking and nature you would ever want. The rooms are extremely nice and spacious. You will love the breakfast as well. If you are in the area, I'd recommend the Inn... More

We were in Morganton for a golf tournament at Mimosa Hills. We decided to stay at the Inn at Glen Alpine. This was my first time staying at a B &B, it was fantastic. The innkeeper was extremely nice and welcoming. The rooms were very comfortable and extremely clean. Jane was very knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast was great... More

My husband and I stayed in the Spa Suite at the Inn at Glen Alpine last night. My only complaint is that we had to leave. The room was wonderful. Super clean and very peaceful. We loved the hot tub. There were fresh flowers and chocolate in our room. The inn keeper was very friendly and breakfast was outstanding. Strawberry... More

If there was ever a B & B that treated you like you were home this is it. If you ever have the pleasure to spend a few days in Western North Carolina, please make it a point to visit Jane Hogg's Inn. Both she and the house are as charming as can be, and her breakfasts can't be beat!

I can't add much that the other 5 star reviews haven't already said, except that all they wrote was absolutely true! The Inn itself, Jane and sweet Skyla are just the BEST! We went to Glen Alpine for my husband's high school reunion, and being a southern girl myself, I had hopes of a "nice" old fashioned home with a... More
