Chose as handy stop on our trip down the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is handy. However: note that for dinner you will have to drive a few miles into Sparta. Absolutely gorgeous log building. Innkeepers lovely. Attractive & comfortable room & bed; great sheets & towels. Nice attention to detail: e.g.:Cushions available for wooden chairs on back porch, which had... More

We stayed at Glade Valley B&B for two nights on our trip through the Blue Ridge Parkway. We were greeted at the door by Jim, who made us feel comfortable right away (this was our first B&B and didn't know what to expect). We wanted to go out to dinner, so Jim had a book of their favorite restaurants in... More

We stayed overnight while driving the blue ridge parkway. It is very conveniently located just off the parkway. The cabin is beautifully situated away from the road surrounded by woods and a well maintained yard. Everything is spotlessly clean! The rooms are large and very nicely decorated. It's the ideal place to relax and enjoy nature in the rocking chairs... More

We were traveling down the Blue Ridge Parkway for our 50th wedding anniversary and stayed at Jim and Margaret's fabulous home for a night. What a peaceful and beautiful place! Hunter, their dog, greeted us as soon as we arrived and made us feel right at home. There were two other couples staying that night and we sat up talking... More

We have had an incredible experience. As an interracial couple I am very cautious in place we may stay particlarly in the south. Margret and Jim saw us a people, shared in our laughter, triumphs and joy. The food is absolutely amazing, atmosphere serene, and company most mermoriable...good people....good place. We will be back again

Such a beautiful and peaceful B&B. This was a weekend getaway and to visit some of the local wineries in the area. We just loved our stay. We stayed in the Shenandoah Room which was beautifully decorated and has easy access to the porch. The linens on the bed were so soft and loved the king size bed. Margaret &... More

We've stayed with Glade Valley twice, once in the Spring and once in the Fall. Both times were perfect. Jim and Margaret are wonderful hosts. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch with Pumpkin and Hunter, too. If we have a reason to come back to the area, we will definitely stay here again!

One of the most peaceful and relaxing B&B we've ever visited. The icing on the cake is having breakfast with Jim and Margaret, especially when cinnamon rolls are on the menu. You can see that Jim and Margaret have given a lot of thought to every detail throughout the rooms and cabin. This was our 3rd trip and we look... More

Beautiful setting, gracious hospitality, well-appointed rooms and fabulous breakfast--we enjoyed it thoroughly! Jim and Margaret are excellent hosts and very attentive to detail. The log construction and porch rockers, glider and swing are perfect for the lovely mountainside location. The Mauna Loa room is the only upstairs room, giving it a very private feel, with a lovely vaulted ceiling and... More

Just as many past reviews have listed- a very well maintained, clean !, pretty log cabin with all amenities addressed. The hosts are lovely people and are most helpful. Our Room- Denali Had a nice side view of the mountains as it is on the far end and it was lovely sitting on the deck listening to nothing other than... More
