Spent a night at standing indian this past weekend. The campground was full of friendly people, hosts, etc. A beautiful park at this point of the season, with lots of fall colors and smells. There were a lot of campers, but all were quiet and easy to deal with . We stated in loop 5 (the most wooded of the... More

My wife and I just returned from our third camping trip here, each for 5 nights. We always tent camp but this campground has way more RVs/campers than tents. There are no hook ups for the campers so there are lots of generators running throughout the camp. I don't mind the quieter generators designed for camping so much but some... More

We stayed 4 days and had a great time. We do our camping in a tent so we had easy access to the campground. The hosts were friendly and very helpful. Bathrooms were very clean. The only negatives we had was campsites are not very secluded and the river is not good for fishing. They did suggest another creek about... More

If they ever rename the campground it should be "Running Generator". This campground may be a little different than others you've been to and it's helpful to know going in. It's obviously not an RV resort and does not have electricity at the sites. However, getting in the campground is big rig friendly and you will see some big campers... More

Beautiful spot in the area of several hiking trails and not far from town for food or supplies. The campground was well maintained, quiet, serene and the site was next to the river. They were very accommodating by bringing the wood to our camp site and dropping it off for us. Clean bath house and changing facilities great for families... More

We heard about this campground from a fellow camper last year and decided to try it. I am very happy we went there. We arrived on a Sunday evening and stayed till Wednesday. With those days of the week the campground was quite empty, we had lots of privacy. We stayed in loop 5 in camp 70 and 71 with... More

I last camped here back in the 80s as a kid. Recently I brought my kids to the campground and it was a great experience. It's nice they added hot water to the showers and the firewood availability was a plus as well.

I started camping at Standing Indian as a child about 50 years ago. Of course, I've seen many upgrades over the years. The latest are the new restrooms and showers in loops 1-4. If you can camp without electricity this is the best place around. I spend 2 week there every summer and can always count on cool weather up... More

Our family has enjoyed this campground for many years. Let me start by saying if you are looking for a place to pull in hook up to electricity/sewer then this place is not for you.. This is primitive camping it will accommodate rv's from class A down to tents there is community water spicket's and approved generators are allowed 8Am... More

The campground is clean, shaded and offers a beautiful natural setting with many shaded sites. We stayed in site 34 which was not as shaded but would be great for someone who has solar panels since there is no electric hook ups in the campground. Bathrooms were clean with hot showers. The park offers many hiking trails some of which... More
