This is a beautiful old resort. I really enjoyed my stay here. Every thing was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Although the hotel was totally booked with everyone from the event, my room was quite.

My husband grew up going to Fontana for summer vacations, and has continued that tradition for over 50 years. We love the low key rustic vibe here, and come to unplug from the hustle of city life. We decided to try our first WINTER visit and do New Year's Eve at the Lodge, and see the bare trees and majestic... More

Fantana dam resort is very quiet beautiful village of cabins with lots of waterfalls, there s no wifi, and no phone service! so if you can't exist without Internet you'll have hard time, only in lodge area of main building.. We had horrible dingy unit 485 w Quine mattress, mouse runs in kitchen at nights and jacuzzi doesn't work, you'll... More

So, we've stayed at Fontana Village a few times, always in the off-season. We love it because you feel like you're the only person there. It's not crowded at all, and it's simply gorgeous. Now, be warned, there aren't a lot of activities going on during the off-season. No pools, no lazy river. You can play putt putt or use... More

We had a great Thanksgiving dinner. The buffet had everything. Ham, turkey, dressing, desserts and more. Everything was delicious. Be sure to make reservations ahead of time. We arrived a little early, but we were seated right away. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

I recently stayed at Fontana Village Resort by accident. I had just biked through the Dragons Tail late in the afternoon and had experienced some problems with my rental motorcycle. I was getting very concerned about trying to find my way out of this area as night had settled in and the temp had dropped into the low 40s. Very... More

we have a wonderful time. Place was great, staff pleasant and friendly. Nice are to discover. Lodge was a nice place to hang and enjoy the atmosphere.. It would be nice to have internet in the units, but was not too bad to go to the lodge.

Wonderful accommodations in the Mountains. Beautiful Lobby and Friendly Staff. Restaurant is Awesome. Enjoyed the nearby trails and close proximity for Awesome Day Trips. Travel the road behind the Resort SR 1224/or 1242 (can't remember which number) but worth the ride. Just like Tail of the Dragon.
