My wife and I had the good fortune recently to spend a night at Ray and Maureen’s Elizabeth City Bed & Breakfast. We found it to be as accommodating and pleasant as many of the other reviewers on this site have indicated—our stay was exceptional, and I absolutely recommend this B&B to anyone seeking a comfortable, relaxing stay in the... We are a military couple who stayed 2 nights at this B and B. They offer a generous 15% off for military year round, which is very much appreciated. We stayed in the loft outside the house. It is very roomy and spacious. The waterfront is within walking distance and so is the library and a lot of downtown shops... More

We were going to stay in one of the pet friendly hotels in town which are a bit scary, Elizabeth City B&B accepted pets so we stayed there for about the same cost as the chain motels and what a smart move. The place is very historic, nice, private and blocks to the waterfront and downtown areas for restaurants and... More

My husband's family reunion was happening in his parent's hometown of Elizabeth City, so we were all set to book the local chains until the reviews for the Elizabeth City Bed & Breakfast kept trumping all others. I had a wonderful experience staying at Elizabeth City Bed and Breakfast. I had a large, airy private room and bath, and a delicious and filling breakfast daily. My wife Cindy and I live locally, and had never been to a B&B. We were sure missing out on a lot. Ray and Maureen could not have been more accommodating. And the food! WOW! You must give the Elizabeth City B&B a try. You will meet great new people, make new friends, and you will be back again. Trust me.

Ray and Maureen were amazing hosts. We felt like we were staying with friends. The breakfast was amazing. The rooms were charming with a ton of space. Its also not too far from the outer banks without the hassle or cost of staying right at the beach. A great experience. We will be returning!
