I stayed one night to prepare for an interview in Elizabeth City. It was easy to find with GPS in the dark. They were very accommodating with my needs as I did not arrive until after 8pm at which point I was greeted in the parking area with an umbrella because it was raining. They served breakfast earlier than they normally... More

I stayed with my wife and in-laws. We had a great time. The house is beautifully decorated and has a long history as the oldest house in Elizabeth City. Elizabeth City has a lot of charm, and Grice-Fearing is conveniently located in the heart of town. You can walk to the museum, river, restaurants and a great coffee shop called... More

My husband and I stayed here for a night and enjoyed a great breakfast and easy walking access to the town and waterfront. The owners were extremely nice, property was clean and we would definitely stay there again!

My husband and I were traveling from the Outer Banks and decided to explore the towns located around Albemarle Sound of which Elizabeth City is one of those quaint towns. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the gracious owners, Vidal and Georgene. They invited us into their home and offered to help us with our luggage up the narrow winding... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Grice-Fearing House B&B the weekend of my BFF's wedding in mid-October. This was both of our 1st times staying at a B&B and it was everthing we expected. The house is beautifully restored with hints of modern updates (the bathrooms). The place just felt like home and Vidal and Georgene made us feel... More

Vidal and Georgene made us feel at home once again. Their warm welcome carried through our stay soothing our trip enduced stress and allowing us to relax and recharge. The beautiful old house has been made into a two suite B&B; each suite has a sitting room, huge bedroom and lovely modern bath. Many, if not most, of the original... More

My wife had the good fortune to win a contest with Our State magazine which included a stay at the Grice-Fearing B&B. In two short days, Vidal and Georgene converted us from people who always stayed at hotels to those who will look for a B&B when traveling. We were made to feel welcome and comfortable immediately. We enjoyed the... More

This was the second time we stayed at the Grice-Fearing house and again it was great. Vidal and Georgene made us feel right at home as if we were old friends there for a visit. The home is beautifully decorated and Georgene is such a wonderful cook that we wish we could have breakfast twice a day. Whenever we visit... More

I had the wonderful fortune of stopping for an evening in Elizabeth City, NC on my way to the Outer Banks. The Grice Fearing House Bed and Breakfast had come highly recommended by some friends as a good stopping off point en route to OBX.. I decided to book a night's stay at the richly historic home near the Pasquotank... More

My husband and I wanted to stay in a B&B on our way to the beach and picked this one because of the kindness and hospitable way we were treated when asking questions about the accommodations. We loved our stay. The place is very comfortable and quiet and extremely clean. We stayed for our anniversary. In a hotel you can't... More
