Roaches were found in the room. Verified by the desk clerk. We packed up at 1am and moved to the Holiday Inn Express down the street. The rooms were $130/night at the Holiday Inn Express but at least it was worth a good nights sleep. We went back the next morning to Microtel to get a refund and they did... more

Unless you're a single traveller, get a suite - it costs very little more than a double room. Suites and doubles have a fridge, microwave, sink, worktops, tonnes of cupboard space, sofa, coffee table, dining table and chairs. Every room has a lovely window seat, ideal for reading. I had to move to elizabeth city and was but up by employer at microtel. It doesnt offer much in amenities but makes up on atmosphere. It is located right off main strip near cities mall and movie theater. Service was always freiendly and respectful never a noicy day in the 2 months I stayed. more
