Room was as described and relatively large, clean also. Flat screen television. Walk-in shower, which is to my liking, instead of a tub/shower. Exercise room had excellent equipment and was a top notch room. Pool & hot tub are seasonal, closed in December. Breakfast offering was a bit disappointing thought the eating area was very pleasant. Internet worked flawlessly. more

We enjoyed our stay last weekend at The Hampton Inn in Elizabeth City. We were very fortunate to get an Executive Room with a Jacuzzi and a small sink/fridge & a dining table. The TV was a flat screen with plenty of stations (got to see all the college football games I wanted to see). The room was clean with... more

This is a decent Hampton Inn and suited our needs of a place to stay after a very long day of driving. I think it looks like they have tried to cosmetically update the hotel but it really needs a more thorough update. I wish our bathroom was a bit cleaner (the tub was questionable). The staff was very friendly... more

Had a very different experinece than previous reviewers. As of Sept 09 it appears the hotel has received a basic update with new carpets, wall paper, lamps and TVs. Bed was comfy and large. Some aspects seem a bit old, such as key card scanners, but not things that are central to most stays. Room also had a fridge. Hotel... more

Extremely disappointed in the the breakfast. I guess this is how they cut costs now. while maintaining their already high rates. this hotel is very old and has a lot of wear. Needs some real updating. carpets in rooms are worn out, bathrooms are not very clean....I would not stay here again without a major upgrade of this worn out... more

This Hampton is a somewhat older hotel and it shows off in the lobby. The woman at the check-in wasn’t very welcoming, although we did get a quiet room (requested with the reservation) at the back. We were there on a weekly day in June and the hotel was fully booked, not only that day but also almost the whole... more

I had called approximately 2 weeks prior to arriving and made a reservation using the government rate as I was travelling on government orders for work. When arrived after driving over 250 miles they refused to honor the rate of $65 and jacked up the price to $95. When I asked to speak to someone else I was told there... more

This hotel exceeded our expectations! Pleasant staff, clean throughout, great water, super-comfortable bed and pillows . . . The other hotels are pretty bad, and I even worried about this one. Then I stayed there. Very nice experience!!!! more

I have stayed at the Hampton Inn in Elizabeth City three times in three years--once for five nights and twice for two nights. The rooms I have had were comfortable, clean, quiet and well equipped, including a microwave and a small refrigerator. The hotel is convenient to all of the business and retail locations in Elizabeth City. As a woman... more
