This has to be one of the best B & B's in the country. Beautiful old (1907) colonial home with exquisite furnishings. The headboard on our bed and the armouire in our room were 9 ft. tall. Breakfast is wonderful and the town of Edenton is a quiet little town with the waterfront restored in wonderful little shops.

I didn't read the tripadvisor reviews before staying at the Granville...but having just read through them now it definitely shows people need to think a little about what is important to them before picking a place to stay. This is a FABULOUS B&B. To those that were unhappy about water temp or not having a buffet or consistency - that... More

If you are looking for Southern Hospitality, then keep looking. I found the proprietor of this inn to be extremely unpleasant. As a guest, I did not feel welcome, in fact I felt that my arrival was an intrusion. There was no warm welcome, no introductions, no small talk, I was just handed the key and given a room number.... 4 days before we were to check in to the inn, the inn keeper called to inform us that he had not actually made the reservation and that we would not have a room for that Friday and Saturday. I had booked the vacation for my mother and her best friend as a birthday gift weeks before. Originally I had... More

We are going for a second stay at the Queen and I forgot to review the first time so here we go. As in other reviews you will se it is a fine old mansion, well preserved and modernized. The rooms are lovely (we peaked in a few as the cleaning crew was busy) and all B and B standards... More

We've stayed at many B&Bs across the country and although the home was lovely and the breakfast was also good, the male innkeeper did not have a lot of personality. My husband and I were greeted by an older gentleman who never smiled once when we arrived. We assumed he was the innkeeper but he never introduced himself. We were... More

Large spacious room with comfortable bed, own bathroom, and tasty and generous breakfast. Friendly hosts. Carved ducks are beautiful. Attended gardens in old physicians residence built around turn of the century.

The house is beautiful, parking is ample, staff friendly and courteous. This place is comfortable but the breakfast is not anything to write home about (a half of a muffin, overcooked bacon, no butter for the cheese biscuit) and the shower did not have a temperature-compensating valve so when someone else turns on the hot water you get cold, and... We arrived at the Inn after a frustrating 7-hour drive from Baltimore and were immediately soothed by this Inn's Southern charm. From the large inviting porch with comfy wicker furniture to the beautiful downstairs parlor to, finally, our cozy room on the third floor we felt an immediate air of relaxation and welcome. It WAS a bit of a climb... More

Besides the superior historic exteror and interior architectecture, the Granville Queen Inn in Edenton NC has the comfort and hospitality of a five star international hotel. As a veteran international traveler, I applaud innkeepers David and Dora for making this 3 day anniversary stay with my wife unforgetable. The town's trolley tour, history, restored downtown, restaurants and friendly residents make... More
