We stayed at the Granville Queen for a wedding hoping to have a restful stay for the weekend. It was not to be. We were rudely reminded that check out time was 11:00 before we were even shown our room. "we want you out of here by 11:00". then before leaving for the weding that evening, we inquired about a... more

We truly enjoyed our stay at this inn. The building itself was exquisite in its 100 year old details and the furnishings were also very well done. It really did "take you back" which is the best respite of all. The town needs no comment, it is very well documented......... it is an American historical gem and you do not... more

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Granville Queen Inn. We have stayed in many B&Bs, and this is one of the nicest ever. The whole inn, including the guest rooms, is immaculate. Our room was beautifully furnished and decorated with evidence of Dora's wonderful eye for color. The bath was large and also extremely clean; and we also... more

Edenton is an old fashioned sort of place and the Granville Queen Inn fits in very well. This place is absolutely gorgeous. There is a large lobby as you walk in. A beautifuly laid out dining room behind and a conservatory type thing along the side of the building which is where we had breakfast. Breakfast is a thing and... more

We have just returned to the UK after enjoying a four day stay at The Granville Queen. We loved everything about our stay .The pictures in the brochure did not do the house or rooms justice. We had room 103 which was huge ,furnished with a beautiful antique Italian suite. The bathroom (also huge) with the biggest bath I have come across and... more

unfortunately i must.........the host and hostess, the spacious room, the hospitality......it was all beyond what i had expected. i had spent a great deal of time searching for a nice b&b much closer to the outer banks than this one. i decided to give this one a shot and just deal with a little extra driving. i have to say... more

This B&B was absolutely beautiful. We stayed in Edenton in the summer , and happened to find the #1 place in town. The price was the same as we paid to stay in a borderline dump in NY. Although Edenton was a cute little place, we hardly wanted to leave our beautiful room full of 1920s Italian antique furniture. It... more

Traveling from Charlotte en route to DC (before returning home to London, England), and stopped here to break up the trip. In addition to the reviews on TripAdvisor, we recommend booking here based on the charming rooms, wonderful 3-course breakfast on the porch, or just for the chance to relax on the wrap around porch in the evenings. Drop off... more

The photos on website of the exterior and interior don't do it justice. Lovely antiques in public areas and the rooms.. each room had a different bedroom suite.. the bathrooms in the our room on the top floor was huge and extremely clean. Top end magazines scattered throughout and a great front porch for evenings and reading. The town itself... more

Beautiful building in the historic district. Was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. We had the attic rooms and they were roomy, with a big bathroom. There was all the charm of the past but with an updated and fresh appeal, no musty smell or dark oppressive feel at all. The breakfast was wonderful - I had never heard of desert... more
