We were quite charmed by the Trestle House Inn. It is friendly, quiet and more than comfortable. Peter is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable innkeeper with, at least for us, a good understanding of the kinds of things we like and like to do. The breakfasts are outstanding (Peter's baked apples are absolutely to die for, not to mention his pancakes.)... more

My family and I have been staying at the Trestle House Inn since 1997. The inn is very homey and welcoming, the innkeeper Peter is so friendly and knowledgeable, and breakfasts are enough to keep you going until dinner! I'm so comfortable there that on occasion I just drive down from my home in Virginia for a little getaway. more

The Trestle House Inn really does delight your senses. The host, Peter, greets you warmly and is very welcoming. The side and back deck look out onto a pond to which many migrating birds fly. There are games, a fireplace, and the main area is a comfortable place to read, enjoy the scenery, talk, even nap! After a restful night,... more

what a nice relaxing place to stay. My husband and I totally enjoyed our stay. Peter is a charming host, informative about the area, helpful with reservations, etc. and he tells some great stories. First time we ever stayed at a B&B where the other guests actually spent time interacting with you. I think that is due to Peter's charm... more

This was one of the most comfortable places I have ever stayed. I will admit that the pictures on the B&B website should be updated; however, the ones on this site show the new look since the hurricane. The shower was huge, perfect for the... hmmmm... "romantic" getaway. The friendly proprieter met us with wine, made us reservations for dinner... more

This is an excellent jumping off point for the Pocosin country of North Carolina. We stayed with our 2 children 7 and 12 -- and they adored the Inn, the games, the fire, the breakfasts, the canoe ride we took from the Inn's doorstep and the host, Peter. He is a treasure-trove of knowledge and very gracious. If you can't... more

The Trestel House Inn exemplifies what a B&B should be from the moment you step in the door. The first thing you see is a spacious but comfortable great room whose floors, walls and ceilings are all built with finished redwood. You are greeted promptly by Peter, the inn keeper, and you get that feeling that you are amongst friends... more

I took my mother to Edenton for her Mother's Day gift. We had a wonderful, relaxing time at the Trestle House Inn. Peter is a wealth of information and a great host. The breakfasts were absolutely wonderful. Although we didn't take advantage of all the offerings (biking, fishing, canoeing, massage therapy, etc.), we appreciated the fact that they were available.... more

The Trestle House Inn in Edenton, North Carolina just keeps getting better and better! I have stayed at this Bed & Breakfast many times and am always at ease with its relaxing and cozy atmosphere as well as the wonderful lake and pond that surround it. Most recently, a new deck has been added along with some beautiful lighting and... more

If you are of a "boorish" personality, or one who looks forward to the standard, stock fare of the typical hotel/motel chains, this B&B will put you off and may even shock you. But, if you are of a more creative, curious and adventurous personality, you definitely owe it to yourself to try out the Trestle House Inn. It is... more
