On a quick visit to Edenton, we wanted to bring our Springer Spaniel. The Pack House offers a cottage in the back that allows pets. This was its best feature. Otherwise, needs a thorough cleaning and freshening of the decor. There were no typical B&B special touches, such as a cordial in the common area.

The Pack House includes the Proprietor's Inn and the Pet Friendly Tillie Bond house. I've stayed at the Pack House before when visiting family in Edenton and thought the staff were lovely and the accommodations superb! I called the Pack House on a whim to see if they would take my dog who was traveling with us from OBX and... More

We just had a family reunion at this wonderful B&B. Honestly, I couldn't wait to share how wonderful this place is. We stayed in the room with handicap accommodations. It has a small porch off the back private entrance leading to the ramp. It served as an alternative to going out to the front porch. The room was quite large... More

We stayed in a room in the same building that houses the office. Our room was big, beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. The rest of the house is gorgeous, with antique furniture, old portraits, etc. Another, larger building had a huge, shady front yard and a full length porch with rocking chairs and seafaring antiques. Just a beautiful place. In... More

I was in Edenton for work, and my office made my reservation at the Pack House. It was my first time in a B&B, and I wasn't sure what to expect, especially after reading some other TA reviews. I have to say- I agree with other travelers about the checking in and management. I felt a bit awkward checking in,... More

We arrived on May 29th and were greeted with a kind welcome and a comfy room in the Lord Proprietor's Inn. The 1902 home was lovely and comfortable with lots of antiques. Our king-sized bed was the best! Snacks and water were provided from both The Proprietor's home and the Pack House Inn. We really had two places to enjoy.... More

Was uncertain about about staying, especially after reading some TA reviews and not having my email responded to when seeking some help with dinner reservations. However, was pleasantly surprised with our stay. We were in the Joseph Hewes suite in The Lord Proprietor's Inn adjacent to the Pack House. Its a fine Queen Anne Victorian building, beautifully furnished. Our room... More

When we first arrived we felt like we were imposing on the staff by trying to check in. She grabbed an envelope took it's to our room and left. Never showing us anything. I finally asked where breakfast would be and got the answer of "probably next door". However, we stayed in room 21 and loved the room. It was... More

Our room was in the Pack House next door to the main house. It is an interesting building. The room was dated and needed some repair but OK except for the toilet tissue :-) Coffee was Keurig in our building before breakfast. Breakfast was microwaved pancakes and sausage with undrinkable coffee. Management was lackadaisical.

I travel a lot and have stayed at many B&B's. This might sound crazy but the thing I don't enjoy about them is fact that I am forced to interact with others. Most B&B's have one big table everyone has to join together to eat at in the a.m. and an overly friendly owner that wants to talk for way... More
