This was my second time I've stayed here for a medical appointment at Duke. My mom and I stayed for 4 nights. Like the last time, the rooms were spotless. All three shifts of the staff were friendly as they got to know me as I have insomnia and went outside at all hours of the night to go smoke.... More

Booked last minute as got an appointment at Duke last minute. My husband and I got the 2 double bed room so we could have our own beds so I could try to get a good nights sleep. The room was really big and very clean. The TV was good sized. We used the wifi for our phones which was... More

Understand before you book, that University Inn is a clean but very dated hotel about a block from the hospital. The rooms are large, untouched by a decorator since the 80's, small TV, a sitting area near the beds. The complimentary breakfast is limited-select from yogurt, cereal and little pastries (and coffee). I had to cut my stay short due... More

My husband and I stayed here mid February for a week so he could see a specialist at Duke. The hotel was more than adequate with extremely clean and large rooms and it's very convenient to the hospital. It's biggest downfall is the tiny parking lot. Really not enough space to even turn without the threat of car damage, which... More

I made my decision to stay at The University Inn instead of The Brookwood Inn based on the fact University offered free breakfast and Brookwood did not. The room rates differed by $5. Breakfast turned out to be cold cereal, pastry and yogurt. No fruit, bagels etc. If you are looking for just a bed, The University is adequate. Outdated,... More

We stay here when we have an appointment at the Med Center. Super nice and friendly staff. The rooms are very large, super clean, and roomy with recliners and couches. They also have micros and fridges, which is a great plus!!!! But one of the outstanding features is complementary shuttle service to the Med Center from morning to evening. Like... More

This hotel is one block from Duke Hospital. Rooms are very clean, the hotel is quiet, and the medical rate is very reasonable. I have stayed there several times since September 2014 while my husband was being treated for his illness. Most of the guests at the hotel are there for the same reason. You can walk to the medical... More

I stayed here one night for a family member visit to Duke Cancer Center. They have cheaper rates for Duke or VA patients. The parking area is pretty tight but they have free parking and will shuttle you to Duke and other locations close by. The desk folks were nice and helpful. The room I had was clean and the... More

We needed to stay near to Duke University Hospital. Most choices were several miles away. We were keeping our 3 year old grand daughter, so with the support equipment needed to keep her entertained this complicated the parking issue. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the rooms and the shuttle made parking a non-issue. Rooms were clean and... More

It is a low budget option for anyone who has to stay on the Duke Campus/Medical Site: There is a free shuttle within a 3 mile radius, complimentary breakfast (cereal, coffee, danish), and free wifi. Rooms and beds are quite big but of course it doesn't really match the pompous buildings at Duke.
