The pictures of this hotel are real; it is a lovely setting. And that's the problem. Because it is such a lovely spot it seems to host a lot of functions. There was a function, with music every night I stayed here. The first two nights were not that bad, music was mild and events seemed to end early. However,... more

This is a very nice older business class hotel half-way between the Research Triangle Park and the Streets at Southpoint on I-40. We were using Hhonors Points and picked this Hotel because "Point Strecher" dates were available. We were celebrating my wife's 40th birthday and wanted to stay somewhere that was a full service hotel. We checked in about 10pm... more

My wife and I stayed at this Doubletree for three nights over this Thanksgiving weekend, and found it to be a very good value. The building and rooms were not new, but were very well maintained and the room that we had was more than adequately sized. The hotel had a library room with a number of easy chairs and... more

The Doubletree Suites is located right off of I-40 in the Research-Triangle of Durham and about 6 miles from RDU airport. The hotel is designed for long stays but I was only there one night. The grounds of the hotel are especially pleasing with a nice lake and walking trail out back. The hotel itself is aging a bit but... more

This was my first time to NC and booked my stay at the Doubletree at the advice of my friend who lives in Durham. The front desk staff, restaurant/bar staff and room service staff all get "A"s in my book. They were all extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was just as I had hoped with a beautiful lakeside view... more

I recently stayed at the Doubletree Guest Suites in Durham NC for two nights over the weekend for pleasure. My wife and I were attending my sisters wedding and choose this hotel close to Chapel Hill. The hotel is fantastic. Each room is a suite and the rooms are quite large. They are clean and well maintained with everything that... more

I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions but never impressed with the service received. During my last visit, however, it went beyond ignoring. The wait staff in the hotel restaurant ignored me while dining all three days (buffet breakfast), my hotel room was not restocked with amenities (coffee, tea, etc), and my bedspread was covered in a crusty,... more

Stayed here May 23-May 26 2008. Had a great time and would recommend this hotel to anyone for the price. The room was large, modern, and clean. The hotel has an indoor and outdoor pool, a hot tub, and a lake that is nice to walk/run around. The front desk staff were great and responsive to my needs. For negatives... more
