The B&B is in a lovely house owned by Debbie and Jim, who made us feel welcome straight away. I was in town for my brother's graduation at Duke and the B&B does not hike its prices around graduation time like lots of the hotels in Durham. The breakfasts were huge! We had fruit salad, muffins, french toast with sausages,... More

My daughter and I stayed for three nights while attending graduation at Duke University. Debbie and Jim could not have been nicer. The Inn is beautiful with comfortable beds and rooms. The temperature of the rooms was just right and my daughter loved the complimentary robes in the room. Breakfast was good, plentiful and we had a wonderful time chatting... More

We recently spent 2 nights at the Old North Durham Inn while we were in town visiting our daughter who lives only 1 block away. The inn was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and cozy. Both Debbie and her husband Jim were very welcoming and hospitable. The breakfast was delicious as were the cookies. We had a wonderful stay and will... More

What a wonderful visit! This B&B is run by professionals who know how to anticipate your every need....home baked cookies, wonderful robes, hot tea/coffee 24/7. Bed was so comfy, spotlessly clean all around, and the breakfasts were terrific! Glazed banana pancakes were just tops. Loved visiting with the innkeepers, too...such interesting people! I'll make it my home away from home... More

My husband and I spent two quiet nights at the Old North Durham Inn recently (Room Three has a very comfortable bed), as part of a visit to family who live in the neighborhood. We didn't get to meet Jim -- but thoroughly enjoyed Debbie Vickers and her hospitality. Very laid back and welcoming. The room was super clean and... More

My wife and I stayed here for just one night during our vacation this year as we headed north towards Richmond. We had picked the place because of the Trip Adviser reviews and are very glad we did. The house is, as somebody else noted, on an intersection but we found the traffic noise to be minimal even on a... More

Jim and Debbie are well-educated, intelligent, and interesting people. They were great hosts and they made a fantastic breakfast every morning. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Their B&B is about a mile from Duke's East Campus. If you are a runner, run up W. Trinity and then on the walkway that surrounds the campus.

We came down for a quick two nights in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area and were surprised at how limited the Bed & Breakfast options appeared to be - but the truth is you don't need any more! Our stay was fabulous - the room was pristine, the location perfect (really an easy walk to downtown Durham), and the hosts as... More

Everything about this b&b including the other guests were wonderful. It is a beautiful historic home with hosts that care about their home and the guests. The delicious breakfast was a full course meal.

The room was large -- but the inn is on a busy street corner so we definitely heard traffic. And our bed was much, much, much too soft. The breakfasts were indeed very good. However, Jim and Deb were a little too friendly. We've never stayed at a B&B where the owner(s) hung around and wanted to chat during breakfast,... More
