Very clean, rustic, older facility with nice community feel. Just not for me. Never felt 100% safe. We were on the first floor near the parking lot entrance, a lot of noise. Beautiful pool. Neighbors mostly medical families having treatment at duke.

Our 1-bedroom condo was clean. The furnishings and fixtures are old and dated, but everything worked. Our kitchen had only minimal dishes and silverware, just enough for our family to have a meal. We made good use of the laundry room. The pool was lovely, the location is good, and the price is right. Just don't expect luxury.

We stayed at Duke Tower for four nights in June 2014. It is a really cozy and comfortable place to stay, with a lovely courtyard and a relaxed feel. We enjoyed the spacious room, the reliable wifi, and the comfortable bed. We also really appreciated having self-serve laundry facilities onsite, and a nice pool to cool off in before bed.... More

Recently stayed here for a family gathering. We used 7 rooms. We discovered that the kitchen utensils varied by room. Additionally the type of furniture varied as well, There were coffee filters but no coffee available. The breakfast for 5 dollars is just bagels and coffee the sort of stuff you will find at a Super 8. All rooms were... More

Everything inside the condos are fairly dated, but they are clean and you can't beat the location or price. Plus, having a living room and kitchenette are nice features as are the pool and games in the courtyard. Great place for families and those with pets to stay. The management is very responsive-- we had a problem with our AC... More

The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The courtyard is a treat when the weather is good. It is not the newest place but for the money it is excellent value on an extended stay. Very convenient to Duke and both 9th Street and Broad Street.

I've stayed here twice now, and I went back this time due to the location (super-close to Duke East campus) and price (lower than most comparable brand chains in the area). It has the feel of an extended-stay place more than a hotel. If you are looking for the newest, cleanest, homogenized hotel, this is not the place for you.... More

We paid extra for a "premium" room so can't imagine what a "standard" room would look like. Very, very basic accommodations. Bed was hard, tv had poor quality picture and we could feel the outside cold air coming in around the front door. Bathroom tiny. Old building but it had character - loved the interior brick wall. We'll stay at... More

We stayed in November 2013 and were very impressed by the helpful and friendly attitudes displayed by staff and management. Location was good and the ability to come in and out at all hours was excellent. However, we were very disappointed by the lack of hygiene materials such as shampoo in the bathroom - especially as there are no nearby... More

On a recent trip to Duke University Hospital, I stayed at Duke Tower Hotel. They offer condominiums for rent with full use of the amenities on the property. From the very beginning, making the reservation was a pleasant process. The woman I spoke with on the phone extremely courteous and helpful. Upon arrival, the check in process was simple and... More
