and you definitely feel like a king when staying there. The bed is comfortable, the room is well appointed, the bathroom is up to date and they really care about their guests. If I had to make one suggestion it would be to up their game at breakfast. There's a mad rush when everybody wants to eat at once and... More

The is really a boutique hotel. But yes, the breakfast is very good with a selection of pastries and yogurt and cold cereals with yogurt along with the option of hot dishes prepared to order. The staff is wonderful -- and the owners were on one of their very few two-day mini-vacations when we were there. Anything we needed was... More

I haven't had the privilege of being a guest here, but from an experience I had this weekend, it will be high on my list in the future. My best friend, who is disabled, was scheduled to have major surgery at Duke on Tuesday. She made reservations with a Marriott brand hotel to stay in a handicapped room with a... More

My wife and I had a wonderful time at the King's Daughters Inn celebrating our 8th wedding anniversary. The Innkeepers, Colin & Deanna, and their staff did an outstanding job making us feel welcome and comfortable. We were in the Trinity Room and enjoyed the spacious room and enclosed sunroom that is connected to it. The room was very comfortable... More

This is certainly a great place to stay in Durham. Firstly, I booked this hotel because it is located just across Duke University's East campus where my daughter attended the summer camp. Upon arrival, the person in charge of that day, Candis, took me to the Womack room on the first floor. The room is superb! The bed is extremely... More

The King's Daughters Inn exceeded our expectations! We travel a lot and always do a lot of research on hotels...and we don't mind paying a high price for one since it is so important to the experience.....(including in NY, DC, Cabo San Lucas, Rome, Vail, Aspen). Anyway, despite its much more reasonable pricing, the King's Daughters Inn was as beautiful... More

I spent a few days at KDI while working at Duke. What a lovely stay! They go the extra mile in so many little ways that add up to make you feel like you're home away from home. I'll share what I liked--the images that endured. (There was nothing I didn't like.) The inn is beautiful: a perfect mixture of... More

We just stayed at the KDI for a wedding and it was a marvelous experience. We've stayed before and knew it was an awesome Inn (and hence, having a family wedding there) but the staff were really exceptional with helping to plan the family/wedding party's stay, making arrangements for dinners, cocktail parties, etc. They helped to decorate the Inn with... What a lovely Inn! Staff was great, accommodations were superb (bed was oh so comfy) and very chic, location couldn't be more ideal as you can walk to so many things. In a residential neighborhood which makes it so quiet and peaceful...we awoke to the sound of birds chirping. Absolutely wonderful. Just wish we'd had one more night.....

I live in Durham, and refer many visitors to the King's Daughters Inn. Every since it opened I have been looking for an excuse to stay at this lovely inn. And I found my excuse on February 12th, when central North Carolina was under the siege of one of the worst snowstorms of the decade. We had tickets to a... More
