I have travelled as a performance artist a great deal, and I say with full confidence that this cozy, adorable and spacious inn is one of the best I have ever been been to! The staff went above and beyond with their kindness, incredibly friendly! They even catered one of their breakfast specials to their Nutella French Toast on my... More

The King's Daughters Inn is located in a Victorian house next to the campus of Duke University. Stylish, with individually decorated rooms, it has pluses and minuses. Pluses: Beautiful setting, fast free passwordless wifi, nicely renovated bathrooms, many modern amenities including an iron, large screen TV, comfy bathrobes, and computer tablet. Minuses: carpets in the rooms, windows that do not... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to review the Inn! We always value guest feedback and glad you had a good experience and enjoyed our modern boutique hotel. The great part you may not have known having stayed in only one room is that all 17 of our Art Deco rooms are completely unique! Prefer carpet or hardwood?... More

We stayed at the King's Daughter's Inn for our 5th anniversary and this place was amazing! I'd highly recommend the Inn to anyone who's like to be near restaurants, Duke's east campus and downtown Durham. When we arrived, Lorana was helpful and informative and ensured the check in process was quick and painless. She showed us to our amazing room... More

Recently spent two nights here and I must say it was a delight. The inn itself has so much charm. Our room was actually a first floor suite, and oh so comfy. The staff was friendly and helpful, and brought us wine we could enjoy in the 'living room.' There's also a sun room. I made my travel partner get... More

What a refreshing change to large, impersonal chain hotels. We loved the warm, friendly, old-fashioned feel of this charming inn as much as we enjoyed the updated, clean and very comfortable rooms and the healthy, hearty breakfast. It is located on a quiet residential street looking out at the east campus of Duke University, only minutes to many fabulous downtown... More

Rooms were so clean, comfortable, as were the beds. The service, it was outstanding, warm and welcoming but never intrusive. Breakfast was excellent, served with a smile. Would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I wanted a nearby getaway for a romantic weekend and the King's Daughter Inn was the perfect spot. From the time, that Maddie got us checked in, to our departure the next day, we enjoyed a wonderful respite. The Inn is beautifully decorated and the rooms luxurious. We stayed in the Austin and were blown away by... More

First trip to Durham, and we enjoyed a beautiful fall weekend by staying at the King’s Daughter’s Inn. What a gem! The location is directly across from Duke and the Inn itself is sophisticated, warm, and welcoming. Our room was so comfortable with great art deco style, comfy bed, and nice flat screen TVs. We loved coming back each evening... More

As someone who travels like a crazy person ("travelo muy loco") it's always nice to stay at a small inn with personality after nights of Courtyards near airports. Let's see... Great staff. Cookies, coffee, and other snacks always downstairs for your daytime snacking needs. Breakfast was solid - bacon was deliciously crispy. The room: spacious and handsome. Clean. The bed... More

I'm not really a fan of B&Bs - too much forced intimacy. The King's Daughters gets it completely right. Small and intimate but also very private. My room was lovely with a fabulous sunroom attached. The amenities were excellent. Lovely bed. Great service. A good breakfast (they do French press coffee so ask for that if you are not a... More
