We were in Durham for a wedding and the entire B & B was reserved for guests of the wedding party. Our suite had 2 rooms - one will a pullout couch for our girls and a king sized bed in the other room - the rooms are spacious and well maintained. The water pressure in the shower was outstanding... Lovely inn. Nice room with lots of space. Great service & breakfast. Good location between downtown & Duke University. Nice neighborhood with beautiful old homes. Across the street is a green space on Duke's campus with a 2-mile jogging path. Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC) only 1.5 miles away. Duke University Gardens & Chapel just a short drive. Would definitely... More

If you're going to be in Durham, NC (or nearby), please consider staying at the King's Daughters Inn. The rooms are large, updated, and well-furnished; the breakfasts are deliciously prepared and varied; and the inn is itself a landmark building -- filled with the charm of the South and gorgeous public rooms (the dining room, sitting room, and particularly the... Spent the weekend at The King's Daughters Inn visiting my brother at Duke. My experience was outstanding. I stayed in the Parrish room (I believe) and was very please with my accommodations. My room and the inn itself was very warming and much cozier than a traditional hotel. My room was very clean (so was the entire inn) and the... More

I have had the pleasure of staying at KDI numerous times (10+) and recommend it wholeheartedly. The KDI achieves the perfect balance. It's a historic building but has all the modern amenities. It is beautifully appointed, but not stuffy. The owners and staff are warm and welcoming yet respectful of privacy. Part of the fun of staying at KDI is... More

Our visits to this B&B in Durham are some of our best trips! It is beautifully decorated and elegant while still being small and private enough to feel at home. Each room is different but all are perfect! The owners are such fine people and always know us. Everything you might need is in your room but if you want... More

I have stayed here numerous times over the past 4 years and have loved it every time. Such a graceful place with well appointed, comfortable rooms. The staff will assist you with anything (one time even directing me to their local garage to have my car fixed - saving me an expensive trip to the dealer in Raleigh). Breakfast is... More

I stayed here because of its close proximity to the Duke University campus where I was doing research at the library. I ended up having a wonderful experience at the King's Daughters Inn and will return again. All staff members were polite and courteous; the breakfasts were delicious and they accommodate people who prefer vegetarian choices; the Inn is so... More

I've enjoyed three stays at The King's Daughters Inn (KDI) -- two in the summer of 2014 and one in the fall of 2012. I've stayed in two different rooms -- enjoying the varied decor and different views in each -- all immaculate accommodations. Having our own screened porch was nice, and there's also the communal porch. I've delighted in... More

Staying at the Inn is like stepping back in time... but with all the modern amenities you could ask for, isn't it? We're thrilled you enjoyed your stays with us, and we hope to see you again soon! More

We live close by in Durham and had family in town. This is a very nice inn close to Duke University and downtown Durham. It's quiet and the staff is great. Awesome spot for the family and friends. Our parents needed a room that was easy to access with a walk-in shower and the staff went out of their way... More
