Since I used this as an airport hotel only, it served its purpose perfectly. I had an easy time getting picked up from RDU, checkin was smooth and the place was so nice, especially for the low rate. I never heard a single noise in the morning and slept in till 9:30 am. Tthis might have been due to the... more

Stayed here on two separate occasions prior to and after a flight from RDU. Very close proximity to I-40 and the airport, with shuttle available. I booked a king bedroom with sofa bed for $55. The room was very clean and spacious - bigger than some "suite" hotels I've stayed in. My only disappointments were with the whirlpool (it was... more

We stayed at the Wingate Inn because my daughter attended SRT (silver ring thing). We had originally booked La Quinta Inn, but they were charging almost 90.00 per night, but with our partnership we got the room for 60 per night. We booked a king room and a double for the girls. The rooms are a lot bigger than normal... more

I'm an airline employee that counts on reliable internet/business service which the Wingate did not have. But let's start with the positive. Check in was quick and easy, room was very large and bed comfortable. There is no express check-out so expect to check out at the front desk on the way out. Two things that were unacceptable ..... 1.... more

I stayed at this hotel while on business and had an excellent stay. The manager, Lawrence, is the most helpful person I've ever met. The staff of this hotel did everything they could possibly think of to make sure my coworker and I had a great stay. Every evening they had a free social time from about 5:30pm-8:00pm with wine,... more

Stayed just one night. Overall nice stay but nothing really write home about. Check-in/out: Swift and efficient. The only problem is that registration desk was manned by only one person Lobby/Breakfast: Nice decoration and plenty of things to read. Also, breakfast was adequate, and had both hot and cold stuff. The only problem is it open only till 10:00AM even... more

Stay there for 5 day, the room are spacious and comfortable. But the overwhelming smell of cigaratte smell on the hallway are really annoying, eventhough it's a non-smoking hotel. The hotel staff are so so, the breakfast are good but run out of food quickly, and most of the box food are expired. The shuttle are down most of the... more

Booked a weekend stay based on great reviews here. After staying at the Wingate, though, I'd say that it's a fine place to spend a night if you're a business traveler, but the experience grows a bit tiresome for longer stays or leisure travelers. Location is very convenient to RDU airport, just off I-40, about a 15-20 minute drive from... more

We switched our reservation to the Wingate when we found that a terrific price was available through the Entertainment book. We had never stayed at a Wingate and didn't know what too expect. We were vert pleasantly surprised , however, by a hotel that looked like it was brand new, but is over ten years old. Our room was huge... more
