Couldn't turn off porch light which shone all night - had to use eyeshades to sleep. Not very clean. Had to bring EVERYTHING. Even toilet paper. Old can still be clean. Did send someone to fix window when it blew in during a storm. Windows leaked. No extra towels at a beach rental. I think RCI should drop this property... More

We came for Spring break and found the area to be a wonderful place to visit. However, the condo was not up to the standard of other places we have stayed. The bath tub/shower backed up as soon as the water was turned on. The heating/air conditioning unit made so much noise that we couldn't hear the TV. The water... More

I plan on contacting R C I to try to get my money and points back! I knew this place was old by reading the previous reviews but I also read that the view was great. What view?!? We had a third floor unit 709 in the middle near the tennis courts. We could not see the the ocean or... More

Spent a week here on a timeshare exchange. Picked a terrible week to be here but the stay did have some positive highlights. First thing out of the gate was didn't get the unit that was reserved for me without much of an explanation. Turned out the unit assigned was right across from the recreation center which has a hot... More

Nice area but had to drove 20 to 30 minutes to get to most every thing. Appliances had problems lots of run in dishwashers, 1 eye on stove and 1 heating element in oven broke. Lost cable day 2 nothing was done and they blamed it on Charter. Nothing extra, out dated but clean.

The best thing about this place is the wonderful location in Duck. On one side is the Atlantic Ocean and on the other side, is Currituck Sound, so you can see the sun rise on one side and see a spectacular sunset on the other. It is about 6 miles north of Kitty Hawk on a single road that runs... More

Judging from the reviews we read, we were a little reluctant to book this resort. But we were able to get a week from Oct. 5th to Oct. 12th and decided to take our chances. Our unit was on the second floor and it wasn't a bad climb. The inside was nicely decorated with newer furniture. There was some mold... More

(Disclaimer: The resort told us they were shutting down our building for renovations the day we checked out.) We just stayed in condo A7 at Barrier Island's sister resort, Ocean Pines. The unit was clean, however there were several problems such as leaky faucets, ceiling flakes on the floor on the living room, and musty carpets. I could write a... More

Stayed at a 2 bedroom condo. Stairs only to 3rd floor. Outdoor stair structure not very stable in some places. Old tube tv's in some rooms. Dishwasher not attached to cabinet. Bathrooms are badly patched up. Floors in condo like a rollercoaster. All features 30 years old..sadly in need of updating. Overall, not what you.d expect for higher end Duck

I have been here many times. The facilities are excellent. We had a two bedroom unit and yes it is older but well appointed. Be careful in your reservations because the facility predates the ADA. Meaning a third floor unit has no elevator. They were able to work with me to get a first floor unit. The TVs are older... More
