My sister, two of her friends and I shared a 3 bedroom unit in one of the blocks not yet refurbished. Despite it being a bit worn in places it was clean and comfortable and a great location for exploring the area. We arrived in the midst of the Nor'Easterly Storm Damien and experienced super strong winds yet were cosy... More

I stayed here with my 3 kids (14, 6 & 4) and friends (1 adult and 2 additional teenagers). We stayed in 413. We were quite happy with our 3 bedroom, 2 bath unit. From the deck and dining room we had a view of the outdoor pool, the dunes and the ocean. Here is the reality - this is... More

Long story short, as you can read from the other reviews, this place has been on the decline for years! My mother bought this timeshare back when I was in middle school. I grew up with Barrier Island Station. I eagerly looked forward to every May when we would take the 6 hour ride down from Jersey to spend a... More

Well, certain friends of ours would have refused to stay here - haha. The place is pretty disgusting and dirty looking. The couches were nasty, the carpet was old, the bathrooms were pretty sad, the wifi didn't work, no TVs in the bedrooms, etc. The nice things about this place was that it had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, full kitchen... My wife and I are members of a travel concierge business named TripZill.biz. They work with excess inventory of the timeshare industry. The idea is to sell the inventory for less than normal pricing. I haven't been with them very long, and this was the first place we let them provide for us. We paid $299.00 for a week at... More

We stayed here the first week of October. It was horrible. The condo's were old and run down. Mold in the bathrooms. I felt like I was being bitten the entire time we were there. The indoor pool was run down and the jacuzzi was out of order. We even left a day early. I would definitely stay away from... More

Apt had stained carpet , 1/2 bath was outside in the hall, to be shared with other units. The dryer was extremely noisy, no response from maintenance. Smelly, lots of flies. Chunk of concrete covering stain on deck.

While we love the location and Duck is such a quaint town, we will not return to Barrier Island Station in Duck. It is in terrible need of renovation and repair. It is all wood with LOTS of stairs. These stairs are steep and narrow. Screws/nails coming up, so be careful if you are barefoot on the decks, walkways and... More

Although we had to climb the stairs to our 3rd floor one bedroom condo -- 606B (the stairs became easier by the time we had to leave though), it was really nice there. It was such a relaxing place and I loved the little patio where we ate a couple of dinners as well enjoyed our morning beverages. Yes, it... More

I will post pictures of our unit G4 at Barrier Island Station, which will speak for themselves and I won't have to write a long review. First picture - every sliding door tract and window sill was full (now just a few) of dead bugs and dirt upon our arrival. Second picture - what our body looked like after our... More
