As a veteran Trip Advisor reviewer, I try to be very critical in my assessments. With The Rockford Inn, everything it does it does right. The rooms are clean and large with nice comfortable furniture fitting to a country inn. The hosts allow their guests a great deal of privacy and freedom, while being available on short notice. Doug and... More

The Rockford Inn B & B is a small (3 bedroom) B & B in the middle of North Carolina mountain wine country. It is a charming historic (originally build 1848), restored country home on a quiet back road close to wineries and restaurants. Hannah and Doug served up great breakfasts with a wonderful history of the family homestead and... More

And we have stayed in quite a few, large and small, elegant and homey, over the years. Lovely restored house, charming room, wonderful breakfast and great hosts, which really makes or breaks the experience. What a find!

Due to a change in schedule, we were able to attend Merlefest in Wilkesboro this year. We knew lodging was going to be an issue. We stayed here about 3 years ago and decided to give them a call. They were able to accommodate us. Even though we didn't arrive until 11:00 PM, 45 minute drive from Wilkesboro, there was a... More

We normally go out of town for the week of our anniversary but decided this year to stay local and spend the weekend at a B&B and we are so glad we did. Doug and Hannah are wonderful, warm and delightful to talk to. They had snacks waiting on us when we arrived and the breakfast was wonderful. Highly recommend... More

Cannot say enough good things about this wonderful place!!! We stayed one night in the Vineyard Suite and it was very spacious and homey! So close to many wineries and good restaurants too! We loved talking to Hannah and Doug and she even made me the best breakfast after requesting that I wasn't a big fan of eggs!!!! We can't... More

Doug and Hannah are a wonderful, warm and delightful couple. Loved hearing all the stories of the old house. House is so well preserved and clean. Breakfast was great, what a wonderful set up they have at the Rockford Inn. When you go be sure to look for Rascal, he is one of their many rescued pets. We enjoyed the... More

Delightful conversation with owners! Love the character of the home! Thanks for preserving it. The place has such a welcoming atmosphere with old trees and lovely view from the hill. French toast was scrumptious as was the fresh fruit.
