After staying there for the beginning part of my honeymoon. The Inn has alot of great character and wonderful views. My wife and I stayed in rm. 26 which overlooks the sound and just down the deck you can see the lighthouse and The Whalehead Club, which both and worth visiting. I read all the reviews before going and was... more

This is our 4th stay with the Inn and we can't wait to go back. With the economy the a 3 night stay at the Inn is a less expensive way to stay at Corolla Light without giving up any of the great perks of the resort. We stayed in room 14 and it was roomy and had a seperate... more

My family was not allowed to check into our room until, as we were told (as well as others checking in on the same day) of a strict 4:00 check in. An extra charge was added on my bill, and when I went to my object to the charge I was verbally assaulted by the manger and staff. If another... more

We have been staying at the Inn at Corolla Light and the Sanderling for my birthday for about 6 summers and the last 2 summers at the inn have been the best yet! Go for the early checkin to beat the beach traffic and the maids move you to the top of the list. The staff is always warm and... more

This was our second stay at the Corolla Inn and we were looking for a repeat of last year, but apparently there is new ownership. The management is STRICT to the point of ridiculous about 4 pm check in. DO NOT ARRIVE EARLY. You will be made to wait even if your room is ready. Your basic Motel 8 would... more

I cannot effectively describe how rude the owner of this resort, Pamela, is. She treats her "guests" as though they are not the mainstay of her business. In various dealings, she raised her voice, hung up on us, and otherwise behaved like an angry child. Perhaps she was having a bad month, but I would not recommend this in to... more

Our unit was comfortable, clean and adequate in size. The pier is lovely, especially in the evenings. The onsite pool is very small and was not open for use during our stay. The breakfast was very disappointing. The pastries and bagels were a bit stale, and there weren't other choices other than cereals. The trolley was not operating while we... more

The Inn at Corolla Light is a wonderful place to stay for your Outer Banks vacation. The rooms are not super elegant, but the amenities of the Inn, and of Corolla Light in general trump the time you spend in the room. The rooms are nicely appointed, a little dated, but perfect for staying for your vacation. I don’t typically... more

What a wonderful place. We had an issue with another rental and were faced with potentially cancelling our vacation altogether. The great staff at the Inn got us a great room at the last minute and saved our vacation. The place was wonderful (with incredible sound views of the sunset), cozy, clean, and the staff was as nice as could... more

We stayed in one of the big rooms that looks at the sound, and over the pool. This place is waaaay too expensive for what it provides. The continental breakfast is barely passable, our air contditoner broke, the window broke when I opened it. The  sofa beds are terrible. The furniture very run down. The beach access is not convenient. There is... more
