We have family in Huntersvile and have stayed at various motels in the area. On August 15th we stopped at the Econolodge. The outside looked inviting. The grandchildren checked out the pool area while we went in to register. Both the pool area and the lobby were clean and inviting. THAT'S WHERE THE INVITATION STOPPED!!!!! Our room was filthy. I... more

Don't do it, don't stay here! The only good thing about this motel is the staff--they were all very nice and helpful. But the place itself is awful--I felt like I never wanted to touch any surfaces. First problem was the A/C unit--it didn't have any cool air at all. Maintenance was up to the room in mere minutes, but... more

First of all, this last visit was our 3rd time there as we were making this motel our over night destination. As soon as we got in the room, the AC unit, as old as it looks, did not work properly. It kept turning off. I called down to the desk and the very polite person at the desk advised me... more

I would rather sleep in a cardboard box alongside I-77!!!!!! the room was the dirtiest I had ever seen, the blankets were visibly dirty, the chairs in the room one of them appeared to have the remnants of puke. They have the nerve to charge a $15 pet fee, when quite frankly this is all they charge for the room... more

After booking the hotel, I read the reviews on this website and was fearful that I made a bad decision. So, we brought Lysol and new sheets just in case it really was as bad as the reviews stated. Not the case! We had a great stay. The staff was so friendly and even gave us a back route to... more

After reading previous traveler's reviews I was anxious about the condition of the Econo Lodge, in particular the cleanliness of the rooms. I found these concerns to be unfounded. The rooms (I booked 3 non-smoking) were clean, well decorated, provisioned with cable TVs, wireless internet, coffee makers, hairdryers, ironing boards, microwaves and mini fridges. While not large, the rooms were... more

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The pictures tell the story. Pink stuff growing all over the shower curtain, most likely staphylococcus (I am in the scientific field). The sheets kept popping off the bed all night, every time you would move. Every surface frequently touched, like the remote, door knobs, doors, fridge door,... more

This was the worst hotel ever, we checked in and checked out, in less then an hour. The sheets had never been changed, there was some white suff all over the couch. The lady enhind the counter would not get off the phone while we were checking in. This place was a dump. more
