I was actually there to review Great Wolf Lodge for my blog (The first post can be found here: http://yesiknowwhatcausesthat.blogspot.com/2009/12/great-wolf-lodge-review.html and you can link from there to the other pieces). There you will find a four-post review (I broke it down into smaller pieces). I thought that overall it beat anyplace we had ever been. It sounds a little pricey... more

I have got to admit, I was a little nervous spending around $368 for a family of 5 to spend just one night at a resort, but WOW we had a blast!! We arrived at the GWL at 12 noon and were allowed to check in early, all of the staff were very friendly and the resort was really clean.... more

Great Wolf Lodge is extremely overpriced! I paid $249 plus tax for 2 adults and 1 child. The waterpark was so cold most of the toddlers were shivering and had blue-tinged lips. The waterpark Fort feature had at least 10 water features on it that were not functioning (ropes that you pull..but nothing happened). When I asked an attendant about... more

We've made annual "pilgrimages" to Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg for Thanksgiving the past couple of years. It's a fun family tradition. We love that the new Concord location is half the drive (2 vs. 4 hrs.) from Raleigh. The new GWL is clean and a great family vacation. We arrived early at 10:30 am and were delighted to be... more

Due to our extended family not being close this Thanksgiving, we decided to do something different rather than stay at home and do nothing. This would also allow family members to participate in the Black Friday madness at midnight. Well, we were thoroughly disappointed in the Great Wolf. First off we are able to check-in early at 10:30 vs 3... more

We had heard so many good things about the Great Wolf Lodge that we decided to take our two girls there for Thanksgiving since we are so far from our family and do not get to spend the holiday with them. As part of the Thanksgiving holiday, the Lodge offered a Thanksgiving Day buffet. The meal was very disappointing. We... more

We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge in Concord, NC for one night. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and I surprised my children by not telling them where we were going. I was dreading it as I was picturing Chuckee Cheese on steroids. I took my youngest four children ages 1,4,9 and 11. They were thrilled. As soon as... more

This was our first time at a Great Wolf Lodge. This one is fairly new. Everything was immaculate. We staid with friends in the Grizzly Bear Suite which was huge. We had plenty of room. The room had two bedrooms and two baths. We had a microwave and a refrigerator and plenty of room to spread out. Between us we... more

We spent two days and one night at the Great Wolf Lodge and had an incredible time there. The hotel room was lovely. The indoor waterpark is amazing! Our boys, ages 9 and 11, had a blast on all of the waterslides and especially the huge wave pool. The lifeguards were numerous and very attentive. There are special shows for... more

Great wolf lodge is a great place for families with younger children (teens might get bored). The waterpark offers hours of fun and relaxation for parents. Since the kids can't go anywhere the parents can also sit back and leisurely watch kids play. The rooms are decorated for kids and have standard ammenities. Food can get pricey an dI would... more
