Just outside the gate to Great Smokies NP, is this old hotel situated. Rooms are okay, it's clean. But a bit outdated. Pool is okay but a bit outdated. Restaurant is closed. Within a 5 to7 minute drive you are in downtown Cherokee. Nice little village. Staff is not exceptional friendly or better said; not so enthousiastic. Ps: Restaurant is... More

This location is an older style place with outside opening doors, but it was very clean and well run. The television was an old tube type, but ok. The room was compliments of Harrahs so I do not what it cost.

My husband and I came off season, midweek. I booked on priceline and got a great deal. We are not hard to please since we usually don't stay at 2+star motels unless we can get a deal on priceline. But I do want clean. This was great for us. I especially liked that it was not near the casino. There... More

This motel was a disappointment. For some reason, I was under the impression that this was part of the Great Western motel chain, but it has not been a Great Western for years. This is now a Magnuson hotel and it needs some upgrades. No record of my reservation, but not needed as the place was near empty. No restaurant... More

We were comp'd two nights by Harrahs this past Wed. and Thurs. nights, due to the poker tournament at Harrahs filling up their hotel. After reading reviews on here, I was anxious about what kind of room we would have, so here are my thoughts on it. The room was very clean, bathroom was very clean, room had good lighting,... More

We stayed here two nights but in different rooms. The first night we were in a 2 "queen" room. The bed was very small for a queen. My husband is 6'4" so this did not work. The room was small but it was clean. The second night we were able to get a king room which should have been better... More

Clean but thought I was in the 50's. Didn't know they made sheets that thin anymore. Mattress like rock. Tube TV, haven't seen one in a long time. I was comp'd the room because Harrah's was full, I will strongly recommend they remove them from their list.

This was our second stay at this hotel and the first time was fine. The room was clean but we noticed the toilet wasn't working. I called the desk and asked if someone would come look at it. That was around 5:30pm. We returned to the room at midnight and no one had even been to the room and the... More

This is an older property that was formerly a Best Western. The room was very clean, including the bathroom. Facility appears to have been updated with new carpeting and furnishings. I am recovering from knee surgery and the hotel staff was very accommodating to find my husband and I a ground floor, King, Non-smoking. They warned us that this was... More

I should have taken heed to the reviews previous to my free stay. As the saying goes everything that is free ain't always good. First of all I was placed in the wayyyy back of the hotel. I was scared as I don't know what. It was dark when I got there so I was a little weary. Anyway I... More
