Normally we take our RV when we stay a week in Cherokee but for an overnight stay we decided to find a motel. We found Drama Inn that is pet friendly. Yes, it is an older motel but the staff was very friendly and it was clean. Our room (110) was on the lower level and had a huge private... More

I stayed here with my 2 kids on a family trip. The rooms were a little outdated but for the price and the view cant complain. The porch with rocking chairs on the river was great. The weather was cold when we stayed so didn't get to enjoy much but just to walk out of room in morning and see... More

We stopped at Drama Inn because it was the first place we passed that was on the on the river. I would have normally gotten a cabin or a B+B but I had the rents' with us and they wanted to get a room ASAP. It did not look like a super nice hotel from the outside but I was... More

The location is prime, and right at the end of the Oconaluftee River park. We enjoyed trout fishing, watching the ducks, playing in the water, and tubing right at our back door. They have an onsite laundry facility. The rooms smell a bit old and the entire place could use a little upgrade. It's an ok place to crash for... More

Cherokee NC is full of "classic motel" style lodging, Drama Inn is no exception. Not luxurious. Beds were firm but good, but bring your own pillow. Pretty basic room felt a little '70's ish. Now the interesting part...the Oconaluftee River is in the back yard. Several rooms have a back deck so you can get right down to the river... More
