Nice view of the river. You will have rocking chairs on your balcony so you can sit and relax. You will also see plenty of ducks; sure to be a hit with the kids. We fed the ducks our leftovers like french fries & the crusts of our pizza. It is so nice just to sit & hear the river... more

We stayed at the Drama Inn for the Festival of Native Peoples in July 2007. It is an older hotel, located right along the main drag of Cherokee. We were very pleased to be staying across the street from the festival grounds and the Cherokee Museum. There is a wonderful coffee shop across the parking lot. Our room was simple... more

Our July 23rd & 24th stay was mediocre at best. Very old rooms. Tired and dated decor. Lighting was terrible. Beds were so bad we lost sleep both nights. The wrong size sheets were used and kept coming loose from the corners. The room smelled. I didn't know if they were trying to cover old cigarette smells or musty, mildew... more

OK to below average. Looked like a $45.00 a night motel. Rooms needed updating. Bathroom looked old. (Tub, floors and walls in poor shape.) Not the worst place I ever stayed, but for a few more dollars you can do a lot better in Cherokee. I do have to say that the location on the river is nice. more

Owner's were nice, little that I saw them (check in/out). Had upstairs room. Beds and pillows are hard as rocks. Very uncomfortable. Nice rocking chairs out on balcony. It was snowing and that's why we were in Cherokee. Very small TV, mini fridge on top of entertainment center. Rooms were clean no bugs. Old hotel but average $$'s. more

If you like rock hard beds, paper thin pillows, small bathrooms and bugs this is the place for you. I recently stayed there for a local car show due to another couple we were traveling with made reservation there. I read the reviews on this site and thought it would be okay but i was really disappointed. It had the... more

Had read the glowing reviews of the Drama Inn and decided our family would stay there when visiting Cherokee for 2 nights on our way home from Myrtle Beach. We would be arriving late in the afternoon and I wanted to be conveniently located near to Unto These Hills so we would be able to see that night's show (last... more

Drama Motel is wonderful! We try to book here every time we visit Cherokee. Rock away the hours on the porch over the river, i could stay there forever. You will surely enjoy your stay here! more

I have stayed at the Motel several times and enjoyed the peace and quiet and convenience of being near everything. The rooms are clean and the view of the river is wonderful. It's so nice to sit on the porch. The rocking chairs are a nice plus. It was great being able to walk across the street to the fall... more
