We tent-camped here for two nights. We found it to be a lovely campground. Tips: - Bring a tarp or a good rain fly - The sites are gravel, so make sure you have a sleeping pad Pros: - Cheap firewood - Site was next to a creek (deep enough for kids to wade in) - Impressively clean bathrooms -... We stayed here for a few days while we were touring the Smokies. The sites were cute and relatively well laid out. But- they were fairly close together and ours wasn't level (sleeping was awkward with my feet higher than my head- RV). The creek gave wonderful ambiance! I didn't even have a single bar on my phone, but the... More

This is my second time camping here. I brought my wife here for her first car camping experience. When she saw some of the other campgrounds further down the mountain, I could see the concern on her face. Then, we arrived and she immediately fell in love with Indian Creek. The owners have done a really great job of making... More

Picked this place because somebody posted a pic on TripAdvisor showing the view from inside their tent, looking at the creek just a few feet away. I got that exact site. We were blown away by the beauty of the place. They have many creekside sites and tribal fishing costs $10 per adult, kids fish free with a permitted adult.... More

Friendly, helpful management. VERY clean bathhouse. Spacious campsites good for either mobile or tent campers, but especially great for tents. Fire rings, but no grill, so bring your own stove or maybe a grill to put on top of the ring Firewood available at a reasonable price. Tribal fishing permits available in the office/store, which is also stocked with some... More

This place was great! Definitely off the beaten path and not commercialized. It is about 10 miles from the town of cherokee but well worth the drive. My site, for a tent only, was rustic and right in the creek. Falling asleep to the creek flowing was perfect. It was like real camping without the hike to get there. The... More

My family and I have visited Cherokee 5 times now and we always stay at Indian Creek! The facilities are always clean and staff are friendly. My father and I love the fishing in and around the campgrounds as well. The only word of advice I have is to bring rain gear bc it always rains in the Smokies!

What a wonderful campground. The scenery was spectacular. We camped right on the creek, which was amazing. The sound of the creek combined with that of the fire were just what we were looking for. The sites are set up so that you are not right on your neighbors site, and you feel secluded. We are tent campers, so I... More

We stayed here for 2 nights wish it was longer. Great campground bathrooms are super clean. Campground is a good get away right on the stream and in the woods. Like it so much we booked to go back next year for a week. You will not go wrong camping here.

This is our 4th or 5th time camping (tent) at Indian Creek Campground and it is ALWAYS CLEAN and quiet. The camp store is not overpriced and has just about everything you need. Two things that would make this campground PERFECT... 1.) increase the speed and extend the WiFi reach 2.) add about a foot more space to the length... More

Thank you for staying with us at Indian Creek Campground. We would love to be able to improve our WIFI here, but we are limited by our provider. We did purchase a completely new and separate system for just the campers (we separated it from the system we use for the house and office). The signal broadcasts much further when... More
