The Charlotte City Center Marriot is very centrally located in downtown Charlotte in a quieter area of the city. The hotel staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean. One thing to note for travelers, the hotel is undergoing some renovations so the gym isn't really in a "fitness center" anymore and some floors have been partitioned off. That... More

I realize it is my responsibility to pick up after myself....however, when a silk robe is left behind by accident, and it is black with flowers, I figure it's going to stick out and be put in a "lost and found" area....not so. I guess a housekeeper on the 10th floor got a new silk robe. I hope she enjoys... More

Dear Cindy, I am terribly sorry to hear about your robe. Our Housekeeping Department did conduct a thorough search through our lost & found area as well as laundry and all other areas it may have turned up. Our guest's personal items are something that we take very seriously and apologize that we were unable to find your black robe.... More

No more Marriott red in the new rooms. Beautiful looking nicely furnished rooms. Wooden floors rather than carpet. Wonderful! Well lit new bathrooms. Tip: find the self park entrance in front of the hotel. Be prepared from construction throughout the hotel.

Arriving at Charlotte Marriott City Center was relatively painless. The valet advised me I could self park on deck two or three of the parking deck (straight ahead from the main entrance) and take the elevators up. I found a spot on level two next to the elevator. This hotel is a bit atypical. Visitors take one elevator from the... More

The service holds up even while the property is under complete renovation. Be aware that lobby is on the 3rd floor and concierge is in a ballroom. The new rooms are Marriott's updated model - that don't have a desk, which makes a day of work very difficult. The gym is well stocked with several treadmills, bikes, stair steppers, weight... More

Upon opening the door to one of the newly renovated rooms, I was pretty impressed with the aesthetics. But then I took my first step into the room and quickly realized that not all the changes were good. The first thing I noticed was that the carpeting had been replaced by some type of laminate. It looks okay but feels... More

Way too expensive. Charge for EVERYTHING - even internet. If you're paying $300 for a standard and not up to par room, this should be provided. The breakfast buffet was awful and for $14.95 per person, you'd expect good food. Only good thing is location - near everything. Next time i'm going to the Courtyard Marriott where I know you... I am consultant who travels almost 300/365 days in a year. Have stayed in multiple hotels and never have experienced this kind of behavior especially from a Marriott Hotel. The hotel is undergoing a renovation, which is understandable, but the way the staff responds , when you are not even complaining about anything, is beyond acceptable for a hotel of... More

They are renovating the rooms here so hopefully it will be much nicer once it was done. The room I stayed in was old and run down. The biggest problem I had though was the paper thin walls. You can hear everything going on in the hallways and above you and in the rooms next to you. Water pressure in... More

We just finished a weekend at the Charlotte Marriott City Center. It was a little confusing when we arrived because they are in the middle of a renovation so when you drive up at night it's not exactly clear where you are. Thankfully there were wonderful bellmen at the door to help out and get us going in the right... More
