We have stayed here several times, mostly for Panther games. The stadium is a short walk. Rooms are well appointed per Marriott but could use some updating. Charging for WiFi also makes no sense when it is normally 'free' in most lower priced hotels. On site parking is also pricey but I guess that's the price you pay for the... More

Typical Marriott; staff engages exceptionally well. Do anything for you. I was there during the American Legion takeover of downtown. The old veterans ran this staff ragged; they really worked them hard. The weather was brutal, the humidity really overpowered the AC units. My room was cool but damp. Call it an act of God. You can walk to Morton's,... More

Visited Charlotte in June to conduct interviews and the Marriott couldn't have been more accommodating, I booked a board room for 2 days and it worked our perfect. It was set up exactly how I asked with exactly what I requested. The banquet staff continually checked in on me throughout the day. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff... More

We are spending six nights here... After one night I am ready to share my opinion. The hotel staff at the front desk started my stay out with a smile and a willingness to help by answering questions. I can say three things about the room; great bed, great TV, and great shower. There are many places to eat in... More

Was in town for a wedding and stayed at this hotel for three nights. Was very disappointed in the overall quality for a Marriott. The rooms are dated, the corridors were not well ventilated/air conditioned, it smelled musty in the hotel. Most annoying of all was that the hotel charged for wireless internet which is pretty much free regardless of... More

Stayed one night room was Marriott Standard, clean and nice, great restaurants and a Cigar Bar! I must mention 3 people that were great, Trisha, Paul, and Kristin. They were able to help me get a perfect view and gave me ideas of where to go. Kristin and Paul were fantastic with LGBT places so glad they were there for... More

In a great location downtown. Traditional Marriott corporate downtown hotel. Not great. Not bad. Would definitely stay here again. Close to the city center. Cigar bar smell permeates the lobby though.

In Charlotte for work and stayed at the Marriott City Center. I enjoyed the stay as it's close to the office and plenty of things to do locally. The rooms were better than average and I don't really have any complaints about my stay at the hotel. The only problem I had was more to do with the weekend soccer... More

The Marriott City Center was directly across from the Charlotte Convention Center. The location was perfect, the staff were courteous and the room was very nice. The hotel bar was a nice place to unwind and the hotel restaurant was very good. The restaurant outside area was a hidden gem that I really enjoyed eating at.

Great location for all downtown activities. Close to the football and baseball stadium, and close to a number of great restaurants. The breakfast at the hotel offers a great selection, if we come cack to Charlotte we will stay here again
