this negative is not about the customer service people - they were nice and friendly. this is about the poor reservation process and poor wireless issues. 1. initial reservation was made by calling their advertised phone # which rings thru to Sheraton (704) 372-4100, but the Charlotte City Hotel most recently was called the LeMeridien. When I asked the assistant... More

We initially booked the hotel Charlotte Center City, but this hotel does not exist. They changed their name to La Meridian, and we were never informed of that. The staff was nice and very polite. They do charge for parking 20$. They do charge for internet about 11$ for 24 hours. The breakfast is either room service with a 22%... More

This hotel is under renovation, and while clean it is under tremendous stress. Guests in my group experienced "paper thin walls that allowed you to hear in the next room and hall. Large gaps (1 inch or more) between the bottom of room door and carpet. 2+ hour waits for room service - that arrives cold. ( multiple people experienced... More

This place is a disaster. The lobby is going through some renovations but, all in all not bad. I was alone in a room with two beds. One of the beds did not have sheets. There is no alarm/clock radio in the room. Wi-Fi simply does not work at all. After paying for access, it simply does not work. Tech... More

When we got there web site didn't tell you to be looking for the Sheraton Hotel. The doorman we had was quite helpful and so was the girl at check-in.Had a Great View. But at check-out they were trying to charge me for WI-Fi service that I didn't use.Which is strange have never stay at a hotel that wanted to charge for... The hotel seems to be in a bit of a crisis. They were very busy (which could be good for them) but haven't quite worked out being efficient to accommodate all the guests. We went on an incredibly busy weekend being that it was the opening home game for the Charlotte Panthers pro football team and the hotel also had... More

And not the best of property overall. Our team uses that hotel only when all other options in Charlotte are exhausted. Not to the standard we expect from an SPG property. A lot of renovations happening in the lobby/restaurant area but not sure what the plan is for the rooms. Bathrooms renovated recently. Among things in the design of the... More

Weird experience overall. The hotel is adjacent to the Sheraton, but it is not a Sheraton, but one checks in through the Sheraton front desk, gets the SPG points for the stay and gets a Sheraton keycard to access the room that is not a Sheraton.... Go figure Full renovations underway in the lobby of the Charlotte Center City Hotel... More

I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights during a huge conference. I think every hotel in town was sold out. This hotel was super busy...I think it was sold out too. I wonder if my experience would be different if i visited during a "normal" time. It appears to me the hotel was overwhelmed at full capacity. I will... More

Really sort of unbelievable in this day and age, especially for a hotel trying to market itself as upscale that you have no microwave, coffee maker or fridge in the room and no tea or no hot water set out in the lobby. It is a sheraton which is not readily known as the name ignores the fact that Sheraton... More
