Ate breakfast in the restaurant and ordered hash brown potatoes. They were literally GREY! We told the waiter who said he would tell the chef. They stopped serving them as we heard them tell the table next to us, but we thought they'd at least comp us the meal which they didn't. No word from the chef either. The room... More

Our first place we were staying was so dirty and uncomfortable I called up the Dunhill and asked if they had a room. They did, they were even so kind to upgrade our room after hearing our experience. Everything was clean, the staff were helpful and kind, and the views were beautiful. Breakfast was good and there were many things... More

In November 2014 I made a reservation at the Dunhill Hotel via Expedia for 3/7/2014. I made it well in advance as I knew Charlotte had a big event that weekend-Fleetwood Mac. When I arrivied at 3:15 pm 3/7 for my stay I was told my the desk that my reservation had been cancelled by Expedia. I immediately called Expedia... More

Dear Kathy G., I'm sorry you had this experience with us through Expedia. I'm further disappointed that what Expedia shared with you and the information in our records do not align. The hotel’s ability to contact a guest who books through a third-party is controlled by what contact information the third-party is willing to share with us. Your experience is... More

stayed over valentines. Room very very clean. Comfortable bed. Nice large TV. Bartender open late and nice guy. Very friendly and professional staff. Just has a warm feel to it that you don't get with other hotels in downtown Charlotte. And walking distance to most places downtown.

Staying at the Dunhill hotel as part of our Valentine's day weekend get away put us right in the heart of the city and all the activities I had planned for the weekend. The staff are very nice and we have a queen room on the 10th floor with a wonderful view. A very nice European style breakfast was a... More

The Dunhill Hotel is in a great location to stay if you are attending any of the events by the Blumenthal Performing Arts. Take a right out of the front of the hotel and Belk Theater, where Phantom of the Opera was playing, is on the corner. Take a left out of the hotel, and McGlohon Theater, where we went... More

We stayed at the Dunhill with friends over the new year holiday for 2 nights. The hotel is gorgeous and was decorated beautifully. So much so that people walked in just to see it that weren't even guests! The location was perfect, too. The guest room was very pretty and our bed was extremely comfortable. The shower and bathroom were... More

We hosted a "Baby Shower" at The Dunhill for our niece this weekend. Several guests including myself flew in for the happy occasion and I want you to know... from check-in to checking out -- these folks kept the "Southern" spirit alive and never missed a beat. We had 34 guests at the "Tea at 2" shower and their staff... More

I really enjoyed my stay at this property. The hotel has a historic look but the furnishings/decor are in good condition. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The surrounding area (uptown) is modern and clean. The bed was comfortable. Shower pressure was good. I was skeptical about staying here at first because I tend to like very modern properties.... We stayed at the Dunhill for 2 nights and had a lovely experience. I had never stayed "Uptown" Charlotte before and wanted to get a feel for that area. The hotel is a small boutique hotel, very historic and tucked among the skyscrapers that surround it. The staff were very welcoming and attentive and made you feel quite at home.... More
