We stayed for two nights at the Duke Mansion. I had seen photos on their website and had also read glowing reviews so I was expecting something very special. We weren't disappointed. The Duke Mansion is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful decor and loads of charm. The chandeliers, arch windows, ornate fixtures and finishes and garden areas are as you see... More

Our one-night stay at the Duke Mansion was a taste of the beautiful life of the early 1900s. The mansion showcases the ultimate of splendor and grandeur of that day. Our room was huge and elegantly decorated and had a large marbled bathroom. We enjoyed reading on our private porch overlooking the gardens, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. We'll... More

We fell in the love with this property upon our first visit last July 2013 for our 10 year anniversary. This year's visit was a family trip and we are just as pleased. I was honored to meet the property's general manager, Becky Farris, this year and I can truly say that she's a God send. We had an unfortunate... More

I had no idea how beautiful this mansion would be. I had just finished reading a book written by a relative of Doris Duke and a relative of mine was the attorney protecting her estate from the infamous butler so I knew a fair amount about the Duke dynasty, history and fortune. The mansion was gorgeous, large, well appointed. I... More

The Duke Mansion is a splendid and welcoming restoration which would have made Mr. Duke proud. My husband and I have enjoyed staying there on numerous occasions for business and pleasure. The public spaces are great for large gatherings and the grounds are beautiful. It is fun to imagine yourself as a guest of the original owner!!

The well maintained mansion is located on a quiet tree lined residential street. Coming up the driveway you get a gorgeous view of the home & its fountain. Everything about the experience was a "5". Our room on the second floor had a wonderful porch with chairs & tables. The room and bathroom was up to date and clean. We... More

The inn is beautiful close to downtown but upscale neighborhood. Breakfast buffet was fantastic and staff very helpful. Highly recommend. Feel it is a good value for the price. We stayed in least expensive room which was adequate. Did not see the suites but am sure they must be elegant as the rest of the inn is.

Wonderful meeting place for any type occasion or visit and you can reserve your own room. I personally did not stay here, not being part of the family. I did attend a spectacular wedding/reception with a delicious dinner, dessert, dancing and the biscuit bar all provided by a terrific, friendly staff. This was a magnificent celebration for the joining of... More

We just finished a two night stay at the Duke Mansion. We cannot say enough about this great facility. To start with the Mansion and grounds are simply gorgeous and elegant in an elegant tree-lined neighborhood. We felt like we were back in the 19th century. Our room, which was on the third floor was large and the bed was... More
