This hotel, while fine location wise, lacks the amenities you might expect from the price. The rooms are clean but not updated. Wifi was not included in the room rate. There was not even a coffee maker in the room which I consider standard. The staff was professional though not affable. For a rather pricey hotel I expected more.

Convenient downtown location. Walkable to most places....and short taxi rides to others (including 20 minutes to the airport). Rooms are big, CLEAN. Beds comfortable and most room furniture/etc... seems to be newer. Public spaces are well maintained. Service is great - very Southern, great hospitality. Restaurant/bar in lobby is good -- great for a meal, snack or meeting for drinks.

We have been coming here for several years mainly for the location + that they allow small pets. The standards have been maintained. Quick checkin, adequate parking, clean, quiet comfortable room and competitve rates. And there are parks close by to take the dog for a "walk".

We stayed in the Omni in Charlotte for our anniversary. They upgraded us to a Junior Executive Suite, and gave us wine and cheesecake as a surprise. They also were very helpful and gave us ideas about where to go in Charlotte, including free passes to area attractions. Great stay!

First, this is a really nice hotel. Ask for a corner room so you can get the large room with the wonderful views (although there really isn't all that much of a view in Charlotte).
