Easy access right off the interstate. I have a 32 ft class C and the site was easy to back into and hook ups easy. Lots of trees for shade. Minutes away from the park with a shuttle back and forth all day long. My family and I will definitely stay here again when visiting the park or the Charlotte... More

Camp Wilderness is just off the interstate, with multiple close options for eating. Rates were much better than what other nearby campgrounds charged. Check was fast and easy and they also showed escorted me to where my site was and guided me into it.

We loved our time here. It was a wonderful resting place while visiting Charlotte. We stayed here for a week in our tiny house on wheels. But they also have cabins if you are traveling through in a car sans tent. There is in fact an epic amusement park on the property, (although we didn't go) we could hear all... More

We stayed here in our 31 foot Winnebago. They had very easy access to the electrical hookups and sewer right there. We were able to hook up within minutes. The lots were wooded and I felt that if you hadn't known you were in Charlotte you would've thought you were in the mountains of North Carolina. There was a pool... More

They let people in that are rude and crude. They don't seem to police the actions of the transient residents. These people have parties with several dozen people and are loud. Due to these people my wife didn't feel safe at night. We cut our stay there short and moved on. When these people move on the place seems like... More

Working in area for a few months. No break in daily rate for monthly stay. None at all. $875/mo. Are you kidding? Ongoing construction. When asked when it will be finished. The answer is always 2 weeks. The campground has rules that are ignored. Feels like camping in a parking lot with all the extra vehicles everywhere. Leave your unit... More

We have stayed at Camp Wilderness 4-5 times over the past 10 years, the last time prior to this being 2011. Almost everything we remembered and enjoyed most about it is now gone, and what was a really nice, far above average campground is now just (barely) average. Probably explains the extremely low occupancy rate on the tent and popup sites... More

Don't make our mistake and pull into the entrance for the amusement park...that's not what you want ;) Follow the road around as it runs alongside the park and continue until you come to the wooden coaster, the road you want is near here. We were here in the off-season for a few days and while there were other campers,... More

We had a great time. The campground hosts were so nice. Our spot was very large and level and extremely easy to get into. The shuttle back and forth to the park was awesome. Looking forward to coming again next year!

We camped for Scarowinds. There were very few camp sites occupied. The bathrooms were very clean and the front office staff very friendly. They have a wonderful lodge with TV, pool table, and video games. Corn hole was free. They also have a very big pool, but it was closed in October. The campsites were spacious and well maintained. The... More
