This place is very nice, safe, big, and very close to Carowinds, and the cabins are very nice and well-equipped.
Nice campground right next to Carowinds with bus service to the park. Staff was very friendly as during bad storm, they picked up everyone earlier and drove everyone right to their sites. Convenience was well worth it with 4 kids. Sites were level and park was clean. Very close off I85 even if not going to park. Would stay again.
We stayed in the cabins at the Camp Wilderness Resort. Highly recommended if you want to camp with the kids, but don't want to lug all the camping gear with you. We have one still in diapers, and I can't imagine having to deal with a tent or camping equipment on top of all the stuff we have to bring...
