Recently got back from a tour of the SE of the USA. My girlfriend and I visited about 15 different cities, so that means 15 different motels, spending one or two nights in each. I would say that the Queen City Inn was actually the worst of the 15 motels we visited. The room itself wasn't appalling - it was... More

I booked the Ascott Inn through Orbitz early in December of 2008 to stay one night on Dec. 27th, 2008. Orbitz gave me an estimated cost of $89 for the stay. During the week before my trip, I was charged over $136 on my credit card by the hotel. I had planned on meeting a friend in Charlotte. The day... More

A stay at the Ascot Inn is completely worth the experience for the use of the pool alone. While you may ask 'what pool?' at first glance , you will soon realize that the new 'garden' (complete with birdhouses for that backyard feel) is curiously shaped in a familiar rectangle and for some reason there are a few no diving... This is literally the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. We actually forfeited our money and drove 2 hours home. It is located right next to a strip club, the 2nd rule on the hotel rule list was "no prostitution". It was not sanitary at all. I had to fix the faucet on the jacuzzi myself after it leaked... First, I paid higher than the price quoted on Orbitz which according to the local cab driver was triple the normal cost of the rooms. The rooms were right out of a bad 70's pimp flick and looked like they might be rented by the hour. We were lucky enough to stay in the mirrored suite. The walk-in shower covered... More

You are about to make a terrible mistake!!! This hotel is a dump! The pictures of the rooms on the website do not look at all like the hotel. The hotel was something from a horror movie!!! I was charged for the room and did not even stay there. I could not stay in those conditions and canceled my reservation.

I stayed at ASCOT INN, Charlotte in Roman Suite, the room with Waterbed and Square Shaped Jacuzzi. It was a surprise i planned for my husband’s birthday. It was a wonderful experience staying there. The whole property is fully remodeled. They have home mini-theatre systems in the Jacuzzi suite rooms and all other amenities. Nice, neat and clean room. Staff... More

This place is awful!!!! They tried to charge me $200 dollars to stay there on Valentine's Day. That would have been fine and dandy if the rooms were in livable condition. The place smelled like mold, the tv was from the early 80's, and the so called heart shaped jacuzzi was only a dirty bathtub shaped like a heart in... More
