The hotel itself is nice enough, but the really great point was the staff. We had a really hectic weekend of coming in late (and after being soaking wet and cold all day) and leaving early, and they were friendly, helpful, and informative about local resources in a comfortable, low key fashion. The guy manning the complementary breakfast Sunday morning... More

From check in to check out we had a pleasant stay! Quiet. Only one level so there was no rooms above or below to create noise. There were many dining choices within 3 miles, some were just across the street. The room had both a refrigerator and a microwave. We slept well in very comfortable beds. Nice place to stay.... My husband and I stayed one night prior to a visit at UNC Hospital. Very clean room with two extremely comfortable double beds. We stayed on a Sunday night, so it was also very quiet. Convenient to various markets (several within walking distance), restaurants, UNC campus, and the hospital. Will definitely book here again. Excellent room, excellent price. Breakfast was... More

Room VERY worn. Upholstered chairs were visibly soiled and light blocking curtains had large holes. This was Carolina graduation weekend and this room was reserved back in January. The price we paid was ridiculous for the amenities (lack of). The location is good and there is a nice pool but I would save your money and get a Room for... More

Thank you for your feedback on your recent stay at the Chapel Hill University Inn. We realize expectations were extremely high on Graduation weekend due to high hotel rates in the Triangle region. With more than a half dozen universities all graduating on Mother’s Day weekend, we offered one of the best rates in the area. We hope you were... More

I initially booked this motel because it accepts pets (for an additional $40 fee). In the end, I didn't bring my dog. But I was fairly impressed with the motel. It is clean. A little dated, unsecure wifi, mismatched towels (white hand towel, beige washcloth), limited parking, not enough outlets. But clean trumps all of that. We stay in a... More

We just returned from a fabulous wedding, where we stayed at the University Inn. On the negative side, we found the beds very hard and uncomfortable and undersized pillows stuffed with shredded foam. The bath towels felt like a mild sandpaper. The decor was quite dated. The bathroom mirror had a shim in the bottom of the frame to prevent... More

Overall the staff was very nice. Would I stay here again. Yes. It was ok. Maybe a little dated but I'm not high class. Very close to alot of restaurants. About a 2 minute ride from downtown and they offer free shuttle. Just let then know 30 minutes before the hour.

Shawn at the front desk is amazing! I booked my stay on a discount website that assigned me to a smoking room (even though I specified non-smoking). Shawn saw this and changed it upon my arrival. He also saw that I was a female traveling alone so he arranged for me to have a room closer to the office as... More

Good service, room was changed quickly when smoking had been done in non-smoking room. We were even upgraded to a refurbished room. only problem was breakfast was on second floor and would be difficult for non ambulatory people. conveniently located right across the road from a small plaza

I drove from Alaska across the entire country to move back home to Virginia. I stayed in MANY different hotels all around the same price range. This hotel was by far the CLEANEST, most FRIENDLY and COMFORTABLE out of all the hotels I stayed at during my LONG trip home. As a weary traveler, driving long hours everyday and sometimes... More
