This pet- friendly motel is not quiet. Barking and yipping kept me up. Also, a strange rasping pump woke me repeatedly. Inexpensive, but you get what you pay for . I suppose dogs and their owners would like the ambience, but I wonder how thoroughly the rooms are cleaned after pet use.

We apologize that you had a bad experience at our hotel. As a pet friendly hotel, we love allowing guests to bring their furry family members. However, we do have a strict pet policy that is reviewed at check in and pet fee. We use the pet fee to completely deep clean the room after every pet stay. As for... More

We stayed in an updated room. For only a few dollars more you have an excellent room that even comes with a complementary breakfast. The breakfast room is upstairs in a space made of 2 former rooms. A good location and easy to find.

We were in town for a meeting at the university of North Carolina. I had to change room many times. The first had old water stuck in the bathtub, when I unplugged the stopper the water didn't drain! Stagnant water clogged up. Gross! The second room had a leaking roof in the bathroom, the tiles and sink area was completely... More

I stayed at the Chapel Hill University Inn during my daughter's freshman orientation. The charming Carolina decor in the lobby brought back nostalgic feelings of my days as a Carolina student. My room was clean and comfortable and the staff was quite friendly. The location and university rate can't be beat. I have already made another reservation for parents' weekend!

The hotel seems to be an older one. But, that wasn't a problem for my daughter and I. We needed a room for Chapel Hill orientation visit. The staff was kind and informative. The hotel is located close to stores, restaurants, and the main strip - Franklin Avenue.

A friend and I traveled from NJ to help my son just moved into an apartment in Chapel Hill. While being somewhat familiar to the area, I was not aware of the Chapel Hill University Inn. From our entrance, into the lobby, I knew it was going to be a fun stay. The decor is a dedication to NC University sports... More

The hotel was necessary, because our daughter had an emergency surgery and the entire family needed a place to stay. The room was clean and comfortable. Thanks again for giving us a discount since the Ronald McDonald house was full

I was there for 2 nights this summer. Upon arrival, the exterior seemed very dated. However, the rate was good so I decided to keep my online reservation. I was told that my room had been "upgraded." when I found this corner room, # 121, a nonsmoking one, it was a few meters from the pool. The room was comfortable... More

The hotel is dated, but I like that it is not a chain and has personal touches. I stayed on the courtyard by the pool. Beautiful plants, a gazebo with Adirondack chairs, a nice pool. The room was clean and basic with two comfortable beds and a TV, ref. microwave. I upgraded for the club level breakfast and highly recommend.... More

I am here on business on a weekend. The clerk placed me in a poolside room on the first floor. Avoid the soccer ball room. The main problem was evident when I walked in the room - a very loud air conditioner that rattled louder than a hotel bathroom. A maintenance man came, and he put a cardboard shunt in... More
