The High Hampton Inn is a delightful, slow paced walk back in time...from the fact that there are no TV's or AC to tea at 4:00 (with cookies!) and tablecloths and cloth napkins on the tables for every meal! We loved sitting in the red rocking chairs on one of the many porches or patios and enjoyed watching the donkey... More

We appreciate it so much when someone takes the time to write of their experience. We thank you for your description of the many activities one can enjoy even if it is rocking in our rocking chairs on the porch and taking in the mountain fresh air and views. We hope you will return and thank you again. Respectfully, Clifford... More

We just returned from four days in Cashiers at High Hampton Inn and had a beautiful experience at this unique and authentically southern mountain property. From our initial arrival to our exit the last day, the entire staff at High Hampton was attentive, friendly and accommodating. This was our first time in this type of mountain resort. We came for... Thank you for this terrific review. The wedding you attended was beautiful and as I told many of the guests this was one of the nicest most courteous wedding gatherings we could remember. We do hope that you return and enjoy the beauty and peacefulness that the property offers. Thank you again for your kind words. Respectfully, Clifford Meads More

High Hampton is indeed a special place as you can tell from the reviews. It is over 100 years old and the property is beautiful and amazing. High Hampton is located a few miles South of the Cashiers Crossroads on Highway 107. There are rooms in the main Lodge, but most accommodations are in very old cabins of various sizes... More

Beautiful resort in Cashiers. Love at first site. Do not let the no AC bother you, it was so cool at night we had to pull the extra covers up. Built in the 1930's, Dahlia garden, lovely flowers, fantastic golf course, fantastic views of the mountains. Plenty to do both on the property and nearby. Waterfalls, mountain hiking. Price includes... More

Charming historic inn on a huge property with golf, hiking, tennis and boating. Stunning views. Crisp mountain air. No air conditioning but don't need it - even in August. Delicious food. Delightful staff. Fun children's programs. Even hiking with llamas. Have been staying here every 3-4 years for 4 decades. It always delights our extended family.

THE WORST place I ever stayed at in my life. OVER price (over $375 a night)) and some rooms had BUGS!!! Rooms were very dated with NO amenities I mean NO AC. NO internet, and NO cell phone service. If I knew what I was in for I would of stayed in my car before I checked in. At least my... More

Wow, what a cruel review. This doesn’t even sound like the same place others have written about. For clarification, we do have AC units on our third floor if desired, we do have internet in all the public facilities Inn, Dining Room/Lobby, Tavern, Pro Shop, Market, Pavilion and 85% of all of our cottages. Cell service is spotty and inconsistent.... More

The drive to HHI on hwy 64 from Brevard set the stage for a wonderful weekend getaway. Being a nature lover, I was so excited to hear that the property had some State and world record trees on it! The elevation of 3400 feet provided for a mix of Hemlocks, White Pines and Maples! Nestled just south of cashiers, the... More

Pro's - This is one of my favorite properties and we return every summer. We will be back next year. I love it for a myriad of reasons. Although the accommodations are rustic HHI does a good job of explaining that ahead of time. There is a beautiful lake for swimming, a boathouse full of canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards. They... We were there for the weekend with our kids, ages 7 and 10, and had a fantastic time. We will be back again! No electronics meant great conversation and activities with the whole family. We hiked, swam, played bingo, shuffle board, and more. The food is fantastic. We loved having our own table and time to sit together and talk.... More

We just returned from our second week-long Fourth of July trip at the High Hampton with extended family ranging from 20 months to 65 years old. It's an excellent place for families to go where all ages can have a great time. The mindset is very relaxed, and although people do dress up for dinner it is not particularly formal.... More

Thank you for your review and comments. Sounds like you took advantage of our children’s programs which is an important part of what we do.
