This place is on a great piece of property, but the owners must be swimming in profits, as their prices are extremely high and they obviously have not put anything back into their investment in years. I love and understand the rustic feel, but some of these places have indoor/outdoor carpet, when I would have at least expected rustic hardwoods.... More

Thank you for your comments and your visit. We have looked into hardwood floors for the Honeymoon cottage but with the carpet being relatively new we planned to do that after another season. Many of our cottages have hardwood flooring but not that particular one. For those reading this the amenities in that particular cottage are kitchenette, refrigerator, microwave, coffee... More

My family and I have been coming to the High Hampton Inn for the last few years. It is a wonderful place to rest and relax. My father in law and friends have been coming to the area for over 30yr plus for a reuion every year.

I thought there could be no way the High Hampton Inn could live up to the reviews I read on Trip Advisor and over-the-top comments from my friends who have been there. I was wrong. Very wrong. It was way better. The staff was, indeed, friendly and willing to make us feel completely welcomed and at home; the grounds were... More

What a terrific review and we thank you very much. It also gives us great pleasure when we exceed the expectations of our guests. We will keep the bed ready, the food plentiful and the grounds exceptional until your next visit. Thank you so very much! Respectfully, Clifford Meads More

This spot was unbelievably quaint and beautiful, which they can take credit to for a certain degree. However the cost is quite high and the amenities for such a price were fairly disappointing. My biggest gripe comes in the form of attitude and customer care. My family had flown in from all over to attend a wedding. Breakfast buffet was... More

We are so disappointed by your comments. Most of the time we get comments that reflect the fact that our staff goes well beyond to accommodate our guests. Clearly, this did not happen for breakfast and we certainly apologize. We do set up a “block” of tables for wedding parties because by nature they sit with family and friends with... More

Families have been vacationing at High Hampton Inn & Country Club for nearly 100 years. I started taking my young children about five years ago for one week each summer and it's become a tradition for us. "Tradition" is a key word here, as High Hampton Inn goes to great lengths to preserve the traditions of the Inn for families... More

I have visited this utterly charming place twice before--once 35 years ago with my parents /siblings and the last time 20 years ago with my own young children. Much to my delight all of the endearing traditions that make High Hampton Inn beautiful are still here today. High Hampton is not for everyone. If you love old world elegance without... More

Oh my goodness, thank you. We could use your words and rewrite our brochures. Thank you and we are so glad you reconnected with High Hampton Inn. We work hard to stay the course all the while enhancing the experience. You quantified what to look for in the experience as well as what not to expect. Those written words are... More

We were looking for a family trip to wrap up a very busy Summer and spend some quality time all together. This place was a home run. We loved not having to plan an itinerary as the hotel has everything you need for good clean, old fashioned family fun. We ran into friends there with their kids and soon we... More

It's been a year since my first visit and I'm already booked in the lodge for another wonderful experience. No, my room does not have AC...instead, I can open the window and breathe fresh air. So many hikes right on the property. Hikers and birdwatchers looking for a safe but peak experience - this is for you. Everybody raves about... More

Since our first family trip here in 1986, we always look forward to turning into the lodge driveway and being whisked back to 1922 upon our arrival. The lodge is crafted of solid wood with hardwood floors throughout along with a stone fireplace in the middle of the inviting lobby. Tradition holds very true here - we thoroughly enjoy getting... The High Hampton Inn is a delightful, slow paced walk back in time...from the fact that there are no TV's or AC to tea at 4:00 (with cookies!) and tablecloths and cloth napkins on the tables for every meal! We loved sitting in the red rocking chairs on one of the many porches or patios and enjoyed watching the donkey... More
