The hotel's location is very convenient to NCSU. The woman who checked us in was efficient, but not friendly at alll. This hotel shows major sign of age. The first room we had smelled of mold and smoke, although it was a non-smoking room. The manager did allow us to change rooms with no hesitation. This was a decent place to spend a couple of nights. However, there was no elevator which was a bit odd and inconvenient for handling baggage. The staff is OK but not as friendly as in other Best Western locations. more

This hotel was very difficult to get into since it looks like you are entering the Days Inn and the Best Western is in the back. This BW is located at US 1 and the I-40 beltway. There really is nothing within walking distance. If you do not have a car, I would think twice about staying here. Taking a taxi is possible, but if you let the desk call Express Cab, the man at the desk gets a kick-back, and in essence, you pay this.... more
