My husband and I camped here in July with our 21ft travel trailer. This facility is small and private. There were full hook-ups at our site. The sites are all back-in but easy to get in and out of. The facilities were clean, but found that we needed to wait a little later to shower as everyone seems to go... More

Just spent 3 nights there with the family. Rented one of the Kabins. Everything was very clean (cabin, showers, pool, etc.) and the KOA people were extremely nice. Lots of little amenities that were nice such as swings, outdoor kitchen, etc. I read some reviews complaining about the noise from the road, but we did not experience any issues with... More

Our campsite was decent. Long enough for our 39 ft fifth wheel. The people were friendly. It is quite a ways away from downtown and the dog park. But the noise from I-40 is horrible! I'm a very sound sleeper and it kept me awake. I finally downloaded a white noise app to my phone and that helped on our... More

We stayed at this KOA for a few nights so we could visit the Asheville area. It is close to town and to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The campground was one of the smallest KOA's we have been to which made it very quite and peaceful. There were few neighbors but all the neighbors were friendly. Because it was small... More

We decided last-minute to visit Asheville and booked our site. There weren't many campgrounds with availability in the area to choose from, and ended up at this KOA. I always look on trip advisor for ratings prior to booking, but didn't this time because it was such a last minute trip. I'm glad I didn't read the reviews first, or... More

We traveled to Candler for a singing at Hominy Valley - for the Primitive Quartet yearly singing. The campground that we normally stay was full, so through a search I found this one. Read some reviews and they were ok. The campground was well maintained and the hosts were very welcoming. HOWEVER, our campsite was so small that we had... More

A nice park, about average for a KOA. Two negatives, though. It's right next to I-40, so there's traffic all the time to be heard. Also, the entrance is a 15 degree climb. We'll go back, when in the area.

This was the most picturesque camp ground we have stayed at so far. We stayed the night in our tent, the tent site was lush and green and had beautiful over hanging branches to shade us from the sun and even though it rained overnight there was no mud. The toilet facilities were close by and very clean, some of... More

We stayed a few nights nothing to do at all. One of the maintenence men is a big pain in the rear. He was constantly at our site telling us what to do. Wouldn't let our visitors swim in the pool. The interstate noise keeps you awake all night.

The location is the biggest negative for this KOA. I was driving the BR Pkwy and tent camping; this was a poor choice, but I was in a bind. Staff not so great. Bathrooms clean but a tad outdated. They have one tent site, which is grassy (+), but sandwiched between the power tower and dump station (-). I could... More
