My wife and I have been here several times and usually had an ok time. The last time we stayed there we noticed that none of the maids spoke English, maybe Russian but who knows. After one of the maids was in our room I noticed one of my toothbrush heads for an electric toothbrush was missing. I saw the... More

We apologize if you took our comments the wrong way, but we assure you that our team knows to mind our guests' personal belongings. If the maid disposed of the toothbrush head, it was done accidentally. She must have been our student from Ukraine who serviced your room that day and her English is not very good. She must have... Fairly well maintained older motel in the middle of Buxton on the outer banks. Easy access beach and historical spots. The room was good, bed very comfortable, but it was the off season and it wasn't well maintained. The room was clean but smelled musty. We discovered mold covering the bathroom door, notified the staff and they said since the... More

We're glad to hear you had a pleasant stay with us, Kerry. Even during our off-season, we do want your room to be as clean as possible. Like we said, it's to be expected with high humidity, but thank you for bringing it up to us. We hope the rest of your trip from California went well. All the best,... More

Spent Christmas Eve here and was pleased with our stay. The room was very clean and had a great deal of character. Not your typical chain room. The mattress was a little firm for our taste but that is just our taste. I would have like a larger bathroom but that would not keep me from staying there again. Overall... More

We stopped at Cape pines motel for a couple of nights during a road trip. The staff was very friendly and helped out as we arrived late and were looking for something to eat. Its really well situated as you can just cross the road and get some grocery shopping done. The rooms are nice and clean, a little bit... More

We stayed here while visiting the area with our full grown German Shepherd. The owner was very nice, informative, and helpful during check in. While this motel isn't what I'd call highly luxurious, it is up to date and offers many amenities (very nice pool, outside grills) that you may not find in many other places. The space we rented... Glad you and your German Sheperd had a great stay here, Bruce and Dar! We know things can be a bit messy when traveling with pets, so we're glad we could keep things as clean as possible for you. We're a bit surprised to hear you couldn't connect to our WiFi -- all our rooms have WiFi. Some phones might... More

We decided to take a last minute trip to Ocracoke Island and opted to drive the Hatteras shoreline via NC 12. Because we got a late start from home we knew we would be unable to make the ferry from Hatteras to Ocracoke until very late. Instead of having such a late night, I started calling hotels close to the... More

We stayed here while touring the Outer Banks area of NC. The room was clean, had sufficient space and internet was OK. Some restaurants are within walking distance, but only 1 side of the road has a sidewalk and the road is not well lit in places. Overall, reasonable value for our travel dollars.

Rooms are nice and the owners are very friendly. I have stayed here about 6 time and it's always clean and inviting. Motel is centrally located to the light house and other tourist locations. It's also right across from Connors market. It's also a bonus that they have pet friendly rooms since I travel with my dog.

Cape Pines is clean and quiet, staffed by extremely friendly people, and an easy place to take a dog. Buxton is a peaceful place and staying at Cape Pines is a good way to experience it. Everything was as advertised and booking by phone meant that we knew exactly what to expect.
