We stayed at one of the cottages (White Oaks) at the Outer Banks Motel from 8/5-8/9/15. It was a great stay. The cottage was three bedrooms with a full kitchen and two full baths, We are a family of 7 so we needed the extra room. The cottage was about a mile from the motel. We packed up the car... More

We have stayed at the Outer Banks Motel for the past eight years. Love staying in cottage 107 or 108 on the water. Sitting on the deck enjoying the beautiful sunrises and sunsets and magnificent lightening shows in the evening when a storm is moving in. Miles of beach to walk and not alot of people. Love getting shrimp prepared... More

As with most motels on the Outer Banks, they have an old school mom-n-pop feel and they are not a 5 star Hilton, but thats not what I'm looking for. We love the 50's feel of the old motels. The Outer Banks Motel is cozy and cute. We stayed in room 101 for 2 nights, king size bed, decent sized... More

Rented cabin #100. Great rental with 3 bedrooms (each with a full size bed & a twin), a full kitchen, and 2 full baths. Had wi-fi. Rooms are clean, not luxurious - it is dated but we didn't go for luxury, we wanted the beach...Did not visit the pool but it looked decent - families with small children would enjoy... More

The location was perfect for us on the north end of town. If you want to get away from the few people hanging out on the beach out front you can literally walk 100 yards north and it's all empty sand dunes. It was very mellow out front though so we fished and surfed straight out. The rooms are dated... More

Let me start by saying if you need amusement parks, boardwalks, tons of chain restaurants, and the finer things in life this is probably not the place for you. If you enjoy nature and a simpler laid back lifestyle you definitely need to check this place out. This was by far the best family vacation we have ever had. We... More

My wife and I stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. It was a great motel with a laid back beach type atmosphere. It seemed pricey for a "motel" but was very reasonable compared to other options. It is family run, clean and friendly, with a nice pool to relax in after a "strenuous" day walking the beach :-) It's only... More

We started our search in this area for a pet friendly, near the water location. This motel fit both requirements. However, during the off-season the office is opened from 8 am - 7 pm; with no one on site or contact info (no phones in room) available after hours. We had issues while we were there with 3 males guests... More

The motel is slightly outdated, but appeared to be VERY clean and neat. You could see the beach from our front deck, and it was a very short walk down onto the beach (a rarity on Cape Hatteras National Seashore) The family who runs the place are exceptionally nice and helpful - they are locals and the place has been... Coming up from the south after dark and after using two ferry rides this was the first place we came to that had lights on. With no reservation and being off season check in was easy enough. No covered parking as they were in the middle of redoing the parking areas. Rooms were up stairs that were not to secure.... More
