We spent my birthday here this year, having purchased an evening with a LivingSocial deal. I think I booked the deal, but then scheduled the night for 2 months later (wide open.) The property itself was charming (the walls were a bit thin but hey, old building) and we spent most of the evening between the gorgeous back gardens and... More

I would have liked to stay at the Nu Wray Inn. However they also refused to honor my 2 living social vouchers due to "tremendous popularity". This a day after they had another special on Living Social.

I am so guilty! I do not always read the FINE print or follow directions either. And sometimes I forget to answer personal emails from months ago! We would have loved to accomodate this guest but never heard back till now from mid-summer. Our Choose and Snooze program is primarily for December. Stay the night and get a Christmas tree.... More

Like the other reviewer, I purchased a Living Social voucher for NuWray that expires at the end of November 2011. October was blocked out in the fine print. i asked the owners if i could get an extension as we can't get there in November (which was granted to me by the only other Living Social inn proprietor I had... Wow! We are passionate about Burnsville and the Nu Wray Inn and put in long hours each day with pleasure to offer a truly unique experience. We apologize if our communications were offensive in any way. Sometimes, there just isn't a match as we don't open our doors to those who threaten us with blackmail. We don't have a problem... More

My wife and I attended a class at the John C Campbell Folk School and had scheduled a couple of days of sightseeing at the end of the class. I found the Nu-Wray Inn located in Burnsville, NC online and decided to use that as a destination location. It's close to Ashville and turned out to be one of the... More

Through our stay at the Nu Wray Inn, we discovered Burnsville and surrounding area. Bob, the owner with his wife Lisa, was a great host. The Inn is on the Town Square with rocking chairs on the porch. The fall presentation was nice with pumpkins and corn. The seating by the fire was rustic with many conversations going on or... More

My husband and I chose to stay overnight on a Sunday to Monday. Although we were initially disappointed that very few stores and restaurants were open it became obvious to us later that we had more time to relax and enjoy time with each other, and did not need to "shop". We found the local restaurants appetizing and plan to... More

I unfortunately waited to book my room, bought a Living Social voucher to be used by the end of November, but hadn't noticed the deadline date until too late I guess. I emailed first time to book in Sept, and was given a possible date which didn't work with my schedule, and then tried again to book another date, even... More

Booking early is great especially for the busy fall season and all weekends! Would have loved to have accomodated this guest but unfortunately we were not able to provide something that was not available on the "one" date that they requested. Looking forward to seeeing yall soon. More

Beautiful inn, very lovely room (#21 over the garden) with nice big bathtub and great sleeping king bed! Never got a chance to meet Lisa -- apparently she's always busy in the kitchen -- but Bob was an excellent, very gracious and helpful host, with lots of great local information, especially about a local apple orchard where we got delicious... Thank you so much for staying with us. We really enjoyed your company. Regarding the screens. We had them removed because we thought we were in the clear for the warmer weather so that they could be repaired. We had a cold spell and we were using the heat! They will be replaced by early Spring. More
