In our years of B&B experience, we could not find a more charming mountain historic retreat nestled between a gurgling creek and elegant gardens. The "five-diamond hosts" are the only thing better than this inn's setting, if that could be possible. Sam and Debbie are accommodating, informative, and so caring. Oreo and Miss Pearl, their cats as well as Angel,... More

We just returned from three nights, will definitely return and highly recommend. Quite possibly our best inn experience. Beautiful cove/creekside setting that is peaceful, serene and calming. Exceptional restoration of 1910 house built by Buck, a lumber businessman and legislator, and whose family lived in for 50+ years. The house is very tastefully furnished and highlights the original chestnut walls/floors/ceilings... More

This was an awesome place to celebrate our 35th anniversary. The inn is so comfortable and relaxing The innkeepers are amazing. They are so friendly and helpful. Landscaping is beautiful. Everything is so nice the way it is decorated. Sam and Debbie gave us lots of tips on places to visit and eat. We loved the front porch with the... More

The inn is beautiful and in a lovely, peaceful setting, but what really set it apart for us was the friendliness and helpfulness of innkeepers Debbie and Sam. From sharing leftovers from a family dinner with us so we wouldn't have to get back in the car after a nine hour journey, to providing tips on what to do in... More

The inn has a great off the beaten path setting yet only about 10 or 15 mins away from larger roads. Very quiet and peaceful except for the wonderful stream flowing by. My preference is often for modern or eclectic but the chestnut floors, walls and ceilings built by the original lumberman owner in the early 1900s are stunning. Everything... More

We recently celebrated our 21st anniversary here. Debbie and Sam are the quintessential innkeepers. Their home and grounds are gorgeous and immaculate and the food is wonderful. Playing with their sweet dog added a special dimension to the trip as did the hike to the top of Bald Mountain. When you hike there, take some "trail magic" for the through... More

My family and I stayed overnight at Sam and Debbie's beautifully restored, Buck House Inn. My children played fetch with their Golden Retriever in the afternoon while My wife and I sipped chardonnay and had cheese and fresh fruit prepared by our hosts. My daughter read on the porch and all the issues at home and at work swept away... More

Returned for my fourth visit on business in the Wolf Laurel area and look forward to each trip knowing I will be staying at The Buck House Inn. Great service and cleanliness are standard, but the setting is unique embodying the best mountain retreats have to offer. Breakfast is always a surprise and never disappoints, already planning a return in... More

We recently stayed four days with Debbie & Sam at the Buck House. We had been traveling through Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina for 30+ days and this was our last stop before starting home to Texas. We definitely saved the BEST for last. The inn was beautiful, comfortable, peaceful and well maintained as well as very clean, the... More

Buck inn was recommended to us by our friends who live in Wolf Laurel, just north of Asheville. The location is so serene and peaceful. We stayed in the Creekside room. Awesome to hear the creek during the night and stay. Accommodations are very nice. We saw the Dreamdale, too. Sam and Deb are great! 5 star service.
